In my 5 days here, I have been told from the nurses a completely different story of what my game plan is with medication and discharge, compared to what the DOCTOR, has advised. And when I brought it up and told them the plan I'm comfortable with, they didn't listen, still discharging me a day early when the doctor specifically said he wanted to keep me for that extra day just in case I have complications with getting off withdrawal medications for opioids. And on top of that, there's a new set of rules with every staff, they are not on the same page and it's very frustrating trying to navigate what I can/CANT do depending on which crew is in. You'd think, with the amount of money they're making from either the client or the clients insurance, that you can do laundry as much as needed. Especially considering you dont always plan to go to detox snd you might not be well equipped with clothes and you RUN through clothes when you're sweating snd detoxing off drugs. If you want a nice detox.... I don't think Scottsdale Detox is it.

They have always treated me respectfully and with compassion. Specifically I would like to recognize the practice manager Kerry. She has gone above and beyond several times in my care. She made certain that I had medication refills when the doctor was unexpectedly out of the office, and even helped me get in with a specialist that is not in the practice because I was unable to get an appointment on my own. This office is always timely and I rarely have to wait (like so many other doctors offices) for my appointment.

Additionally she seemed to be unaware of the functions of several key neurotransmitters affecting depression. I left wondering how she got the job. Most problematic for me is the core principle of this place. As I (don't) understand it: we are responsible for our physical pain. We have pain because we think we have pain; It's imaginary, we've chosen it. I asked about a close friend dying of cancer: he only imagines he is in pain? Answer: he probably did have some real pain but not as much as he thought. That's when I gave up.
