You can spend a full day cruising around through the shops and galleries. You'll find an eclectic mix of art, antiques, jewelry, sculpture, pottery, new and vintage Native American jewelry, and more. Tubac is sleepy town and not everyone has the same business hours or schedule, so plan on verifying business hours in advance for specific shops you want to visit, otherwise, go there with a flexible mindset!

This place is *very* popular with birders in the spring... we arrived on a Saturday afternoon in April, and I'm sure the only reason a few sites were available was because it was raining and near freezing! There are two trailheads leading from the campground. Both trails we hiked were in good condition and well marked with signs or rock cairns, and the vistas were fantastic. The Bog Spring/Kent Spring loop is fairly strenuous, especially if you're not acclimated to the elevation, and probably not suitable for children or newbie hikers.

Cars are stopped at the gates, and on the side, foot traffic like us can go through. In 100 metres, we're going to be totally Yelpless. It's a mixed feeling of doom and excitement. We've heard a lot about border towns, and are not keen to hang around in one. During the 7 day trip, we spent 95% of the time walking, slowly. I normally would recommend this to a beginner rider. However, because of how defensive they were when I brought this up to them when they asked for my feedback, I am reducing stars. Otherwise would have rated 3 stars. It was uncomfortable for me and I ended up leaving earlier than planned. I don't think it is polite to say "I don't think this is the place for you" (one example of what was said, but not only example) to a customer after they spent thousands of dollars on a trip. The feedback has been shared with the location.
