I come here a lot but today was the worse experience for me... I called ahead to see if they had fried fish available they did, so I went in to order, the lady at the register was very rude!!!! I go up to the front say excuse me once and she ignores me, she turns around to grab bags and I say excuse me again, with no reply. Finally I raised my voice and she turned around and acknowledged me... I was close to her the whole time And it wasn't loud. I let it go. After I'm doing my order for family and she asked what tortillas I asked her to let me call my family, k call them she staring at me and when k say which tortilla she turns her head to speak to the other guy she's working with, again ignoring me. I wave my hand to get her attention she rolls her eyes and asks me which kind. After my order she walks over and starts laughing with the other employee staring at me. I go over and let her know, I was frustrated because twice she was ignoring me, and I didn't appreciate that especially when she is at the register to help take my order. A lot of the employees seem rude And angry but if that's the case don't work there, no one is making them show up for something they volunteered for. It's hard to say... I wish I could do 2.5 stars. They have good stuff, yes. But only produce and maybe bread. But it's usually overpriced. Things are always rung up incorrectly at checkout. So always check your receipt!!! The store is very clean, always stocked and organized! The food there is not very good. I tried it several times and everything to me tasted very salty and no other flavor. The meat tacos was mostly fat/tendons, the order was wrong more than once and they catch an attitude when you ask them for whatever they forgot or to fix what they messed up.(even with your receipt in hand). The meat department I would not touch. Meat is a huge NO no here. Super smelly, off putting smell and tastes bad. Also they ALWAYS try to sell you more. Every time I say TWO POUNDS they try to give me 2 1/2 almost 3! this has happens at least 5times before I gave up on the meat. Idk what it is with them they try to seal the bag and hand it to you real quick and I've given it back and repeated myself the amount I wanted. I even had a guy tell me it's just one or two extra steaks. They do have some good fresh produce! But I have read reviews that people get sick from the meat/food there and I'm not surprised, so I don't even get the bread anymore. read more

They have an ice cream kiosk and agua fresca one too! My favorite thing about Madera's Vallarta is the Sushi Kiosk. They make it fresh daily until 6 pm. They have vegetarian options (buddha roll- delicious) and party trays. They are reasonably priced. The best sushi in Madera. They also offer poke bowls but I haven't made it past the sushi yet! They have lots of other things to offer and I'm sure some of you have your own favorite things about this new Grocery store. If you hven't been, try it out. read more

Everything is here! 20 Minutes Later: Woah! They have vegan/vegetarian selections! Oh. They are hella frozen. You can shatter a knee with that. Oh well, it's okay! 40 minutes later: Jesus Christ look how stocked everything is! They got fresh bread, fresh flowers, "Fresh" Produce. Honestly, this is a little too much to handle. A juicy 1 hour later: Cashier; "Your bread is expired and moldy, would you like it still?" Uh no? Oh, My bagels are going to expire tomorrow, oh your freshly made fruit bowls expire today, or your freshly packed veggies expired February 20th. Ugh, we aren't coming here again. I went there and a male employee (maybe manager) had loads of cologne. I had a (mask on) and when I got home I started having a bad reaction (MS. Like symptoms & super bad nerve sensitivity to noise). I have a hyper chemical sensitivity to fragrances/colognes/perfumes. Why do people have to wear such poisons, it's hard to go anywhere without being attacked by the poison in the perfumes and colognes. Never, never have I seen anyone working there that was not Mexican, no blacks, whites, Native Americans, or any other race. Also, their prices are way more than anywhere else you go and that includes the big boys like Safeway or Save Mart. I shop there frequently, but especially for the freshly made tamales... Tonight i ran into the store, when to the tamales area, and the second container from the right said chicken as usual. I took out three and went home which is 5 miles away. When we ate the first tamale my wife had a reaction, and told me hers was chili cheese, and way too hot ... i cut the other one open and it was chili cheese also so we didn't eat them. I looked at the wrappings and sure enough 2 were chili cheese, and 1 wrapper was labeled chicken, but they were all in the chicken steamer. I called to let them know, and merely wanted credit for 2 tamales. The woman on the phone said to wrap up the wrong tamales, and bring them back. I said I can't tonight as I'm a ways away so she said bring them back tomorrow. I told her cant i just get the credit tomorrow without having to scoop up the cut up tamales and bring them back? She said no thats not our policy, so I told her that's fine and my policy will be not to shop there anymore. Just wanted to share a BAD EXPERIENCE I had a few months ago while shopping in the store. It was an experience with a male cashier cant remember his name he was hispanic im assuming, lighter skinned, dark hair brown eyes just basic ? Anyways I remember being in a not too happy mood that day and Im assuming the cashier realized that and began having a really nasty attitude towards me I was so scared in that moment I did not know what I did to deserve this. And on top of that he told my 80 year old father he could not take the electric cart outside. So Heartless. Ended up canceling the party due to flu virus illness (before the cake was made!) and was told no problem I'd be refunded. Went for my refund and they treated me like a criminal trying to steal their money. Almost refused to refund me because they said it wasn't the "official receipt". After 30 min of standing around and a mention of me complaining to the bbb I finally got my $36 refund. The other reviewers are right about management being lousy as well. No apology for my time. Terrible time aaaagain. Decide to give this place another try after the last two time went very wrong. The first time we came we ordered tacos and they forgot all our toppings that we ordered. We show up after pacing an order online again and they tell us they don't have the soup we ordered. I ask them what they can do and the girl gave me the meeeeanest look like she was pissed that I wanted something in place of the soup THAT I PAID FOR. She doesn't answer me and it's an awkward silence for a moment so I ask "can I have a different soup" then she starts listing the soups and I pick one at random. She says she'll get it and I ask if the rest of the order was ready (more tacos) she said yeah and then goes to the line to start making them -_- like dude wtf is going on in the place ? Is anyone running the place? She straight lieeeedddd as if I couldn't see her making the food that clearly wasn't ready.
