Worst store ever I don't even know why this store is still open ! They employees there are ridiculously fuxken rude especially the store directors, a while back my kid had accidentally opened the security door that has an alarm and the store director made my child cry screaming at him telling him why he opened the door, I didn't say anything cause I thought he was joking at first but he wasn't ! the cashier that was helping me at the time told me I can call corporate and report him (I could tell she was embarrassed by his behavior) but I chose not too and that was my first mistake, i came back a week ago and the same guy was there and he gave me the ugliest look and was just staring me the whole entire time i felt so uncomfortable . If I Could not give any stars I would. I bought a quesadilla. ( asada and cheese ) and 1 tamale ) cheese and chile. Literally the worst food I've ever had. The meat in the quesadilla was GAMMY. I literally had to tear apart the quesadilla just to be able to get little tears of the cheese and tortilla. Disgusting. A quesadilla is one of the simplest "meals" you can ever make and not being able to be knowledgeable about the meat and If it's appropriate to serve or not is ridiculous. First off, the restrooms are filthy the stalls are broken and won't lock, second there was poop on the floor and employees just went in and out ignoring it. The staff there were rude and gave attitude for a simple question. Few days ago I went back and I've asked an employee what's it like working here they said they hate working there and they being belittled, treated poorly, reviving zero respect from the managers. One of the worst burritos I've ever had. I've been to multiple Vallarta locations in California and have never had a bad experience. I ordered a carne asada burrito and the meat taste old and had a very strange flavor to it. It was extremely dry as well. Definitely won't be coming back here read more

Do not waste your time or money at this grocery store. I went in to buy some pan dulce also known as Mexican bread, and while I was cutting into the bread to give to my child, I notice a very thick piece of hair that was baked into the bread. It was the most disgusting thing ever, I tried pulling it out but it was baked into the bread which prohibited removing it. I called Vallarta and asked to speak to the store director and he was rude and not helpful at all. Horrible customer service and disgusting food service, wish the health department investigated. read more

Oh Mexican sweet bread how much fun we've had over the years. Literally every time I visit this location I have to grab an empanada or concha. It's almost mandatory. Delano has 2 Vallarta supermarkets and this one is my favorite. The other location is often busy and the lines are a bit long. I enjoy visiting this Vallarta when I'm in town visiting family and friends. Staff are always super friendly and helpful. Produce is very well priced and the weekly deals are definitely something to look at on your weekly mailer. This place pretty much has it all when you need something Mexican related. Tapatio? They got it. Piñata? Of course. Chorizo? About 3 different versions. One of my favorite things about Vallarta is the hot foods section. When I used to work in Delano, my coworkers and I would often order 40-60 tacos on a monthly basis. Great camaraderie builder if I might add. The tacos are reasonably priced just over a buck a piece. The carnitas are pretty tasty and the ceviche isn't bad. On the days where I'm too tired or lazy to cook, I'll order one of the family set-ups. Lb of carne asada or chicken, rice and beans, tortillas and salsa can all be had for under $20. If I were to recommend something other than the Mexican sweet bread, I would say it would have to be the chorizo Jimenez. Throw a couple links on the grill and your good to go! Overall I've had good experiences with this Vallarta. Whenever your in the area looking for some fresh avocados, maybe a molcajete? Out of all the stores I've been in this would be my fav even if there lines to get to the register are like 40 minutes long with only two people and the horchata being to sweet or even some times it tastes like nothing I give this place a 45% recommendation. I experienced the worst customer services here. As I was waiting line (which is expected on a Friday night) my turn came up and the cashier name Laura was talking the whole time to her manager Juan. While scanning my items she continued to not acknowledge me and kept talking to the manager. Saying stuff like "I want to go home", "I'm hungry", "Send me on break" and was just laughing back and forth with the manager as if I wasn't even standing there. I had to interrupt there conversation and said "excuse are you done scanning, can I pay now?" She answered "sure" and I just shook my head and said could I have please have 2 big bags of ice. She repeated it and told her co worker to go and get the ice outside. While waiting for the ice they gave me a small bag of ice and I said I needed 2 big bag of ice. The worker said I'm sorry you only paid for a small bag. I walked back in inside Me: Excuse Laura you rang me up wrong. Cashier Laura: I did? (with a dumb look on her face) Me: Yes I needed 2 big bags not 1 small bag. Cashier Laura: I thought I did. Well you have to wait for a manager. (rolled her eyes) Me: Well if you were paying attention vs talking and complaining this could have been prevented. Cashier Laura: (With an attitude) People make mistakes you know. Me: Your right they do, but if your hungry, want to go home or want to go on a break while working, then don't even come to work! I'm not a 'juicing guy' but once in awhile I like one. I had a Pancho Villa, which is nopal cactus, celery, pineapple, cucumber and grapefruit. Light and green, neutral and balanced. more veggie flavored than fruit. Great. I prefer the Mexican markets to 'healthy places' Better juice without all all the new age politically correct ingredients. read more

This is another place worth coming to when I have a lay over from and international flight. They sell the best tamales in all of this small farming community. I can get about 20 of them for about $20 or so and get a six pack of Modelo Negra and have a blast. They have the best Mexican food this side of the Mexican/American border, and you don't need a passport or green card to eat here... but I bet most of the shoppers and diners that come here don't have one.
