They always seem to be cleaner with more options. The restrooms (at least on the women's side) only had 3 stalls. (One of which a woman informed us wasn't flushing). The large handicap stall was locked so we assumed someone was in there... only no one was. One of my children crawled under the door (gulp... public bathroom floor) and unlocked it for us. After using the facilities, why not fill 'em back up? We always look for Icees/Slushies at gas stations. Luckily, this one had Icees! (We we're shocked at how many gas stations we stopped at along our drive did NOT have them... only fountain drinks). Cashier was friendly. We will be making it a point to stop here when we make it to the "fork in the road" on our next trip!

There was a line of about 4 people for the women's restroom, but it moved quickly for having only three stalls. The bathroom was pretty clean but was out of soap. I was tempted to go inside the cold beer cave, instead purchased my first C-Force Artisan Water by Chuck Norris since it was priced about the same as CEFCO branded filtered water. The kiosk to order a freshly made burrito was calling my name and I ignored it and grabbed a small bag of Chex mix. I will stop here again when driving along US-259.

It's been years since we've been back so I don't know if it's still true but it seemed to me those times that the greater portion of their branded merchandise and other "Texas" souvenirs were made in China. My wife and I decided to go try it and was shocked at just how great this burger is. The burger was also huge, half pound patty and large toasted bun. My wife and I could have easily have split this burger. The fries are also great. They are very crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. Great flavor too! They offer fries, curly fries or wedges. The burger is $7.49 and .50 for cheese. The best value is to get the basket with fries and a drink. Two cheeseburger baskets with drinks and fries was $22 but worth every cent.

I've never had an instance where the pumps weren't working or questioned the cleanliness of their filters. This store is locally owned by a family that has deep roots in the town. Inside is always clean. There is a large selection of wines both locally sourced as well as large national suppliers. There's also a candy wall of assorted by the lb candy, an ice cream bar that serves blue bell ice cream, and other prepared lunches and snacks. There are also the usual snacks sodas and beer in the cooler. Attached to the convenience store is a Whataburger. This is a busy location and has had some growing pains but that is a separate review. The Whataburger and convenience store share a bathroom. I typically find that the bathroom could stand to have a little attention, but certainly not the worst in town. I actually drive a little out of my way to visit this location. I think it's worth it.
