You pay up front first and can get a plan of a year follow up touch up for ceramic or multiple years. So why the 1 star? After your initial service is done and when you want to do your follow up touch up, Joshua goes MIA. He does not return calls, or if he does, the follow through to get the appointment never happens. It's truly unfortunate because he does great work but he does not live up to the his end of the bargain. At this point its a bait in switch to get your money up front and then he disappears. There are other reliable reputable services out there to use.

From the outside it looks like a rough truck stop surrounded by farm trucks and big rigs. And on the inside it's no-frills but the smell of good food lingers everywhere and sounds of hustling people coming and going. Ordering is done at the counter, the staff were amazingly friendly and the quality of food could stand alone as purely Awesome...home-cooking at its Very Beat!! It's filling and fair priced most items under $10. At certain times of the day finding an open table is impossible!! Yesterday I had a hamburger steak covered with brown gravy and grilled onions with fries. Today it was fried catfish and a salad. Honestly the food was so good from the day before, I had to come try something different. Anyway if you're looking for a unique experience in a diner setting out in the almost complete middle of nowhere, and/or looking for friendly service almost beyond friendly though like you're family, and/or looking for some Really Great Hill Country Homestyle cooking...then come check out Pruitt's!! The good news is that the staff was very nice, friendly and easy to work with; there's a comfortable waiting area, and the work was completed when promised. My wife has used them for periodic oil changes with no problem, and I've used them for other work in the past, usually satisfied. The less good) news is that there was a bit of upsell pressure for optional $200+ fuel injector service (not a terrible thing; we're capitalists after all), and their overall prices were significantly higher than my alternative well-established repair shop 15 minutes away in Marble Falls. (I didn't know that at the time, and went to Grease Monkey for convenience.) The cost was still far less than what a Toyota dealer would have charged, and they upsell too! A couple of examples: The charge for changing the transmission fluid, including the fluid itself, was $512 (including tax). In Marble Falls the total would have been in the high $300s, including their most expensive fluid. Grease Monkey told me that my tires were badly worn and cupping, with a fairly fresh cut in one that exposed the steel belt. See photo they sent.) I don't recall hitting anything that would have cut a premium tire that badly, but it was an important safety inspection find. They strongly recommended (and I agree) replacing the front two for just under $440 per tire (same premium tire, installed, including tax), and recommended a road hazard guarantee for an additional 17%, which would have brought the total to about $500 per tire. (Every tire I've ever bought comes with a road hazard guarantee included, but theirs might have been a little more comprehensive.) I declined. The cost of exactly the same tire from the Marble Falls shop (installed, including tax) is just under $331 per tire (without the road hazard upsell). Interesting side note: There was a very cool unfinished 1941Chevy pickup hot rod in the storage yard, and I think I saw classic Chrysler Imperial tailfins sticking out farther down the row.

Had truck towed there for power steering failure, upon diagnosis they found a bad hose, was quoted at $800+ dollars. (Remind you that I paid $650 to replace the whole power steering pump a year prior at a different shop with a motocraft part) The extra money was for a "power steering flush and bleed". Had no choice, so after repairs I showed up and the hose was replaced, but the wheels still wouldn't turn all the way to the left and right, and system groaned. Power steering was drivable unlike before, but they suspected a bad pump. The negotiation to get the price down was painful, even though the hose was replaced, the system was still not fully effective, and I questioned the high price of the job. Walked out at $550 and still have to take it to another shop. This place cares more about making money to affect the bottom line than they do taking care of customers. Go take it to a reputable mom and pop shop. Now that my vehicle is drivable, I will source other options. Also, truck is still dripping power steering fluid, hopefully from a dirty job, and not an additional leak.

My only regret is that I parked under a tree, so I had some spots later on the windshield from that, but it was not his fault. I'd avoid doing that. It was pretty expensive, but it seems like all the detail services are. Not something I would do all the time, but for getting my car in great shape I'll definitely call 5 Star again.

Pieces of advice: - They only offer these certain times of the day. Less than 2 weeks later my main panel overloaded and took out all my 240V systems. I scheduled a service call and their master electrician Clifford Black came out to assess the damage. I was assured that they would replace the guts inside my main panel free of charge. Following this, I was left without 240V for 3 days, and I had to remind them to send me an electrical proposal on paper. Now they claim my panel had thermal damage and refuse to restore my system unless I pay them for a full panel upgrade. In addition to this, during the service call they took my breakers that melted making it harder to get the cause diagnosed by another electrician. I was left without 240V systems in the Texas heat for over a week. Update: On the followup they said my part for replacing my panel was not available. This was not actually communicated with me and the owner is trying to save face. In reality they instead sent me a bill and refused to restore my service. They then ghosted me for any follow up.
