Shrimp & Sausage Boil: A stew of shrimp, sausage, and corn. The ingredients were of very good quality; the shrimp were firm and fresh, and there were over a dozen in one serving. The sausage had a rich smoky flavor, and the corn was sweet and juicy. The seasoning was basic garlic butter, with black pepper to remove any fishy smell and enhance the aroma, resulting in a subtle creamy flavor overall. Mashed Potatoes with Gravy: The mashed potatoes were smooth and creamy with a distinct buttery aroma. Unfortunately, the gravy was a bit too salty. Mixed Vegetables: Purely boiled vegetables, completely unseasoned, too bland. I used them to dip the mashed potatoes, which made it absolutely better. Fried Chicken Tender: Scalding hot. Although the crisp wasn't crispy enough, it was still very aromatic.

Buckle your seatbelts, folks, because this is the culinary experience of a lifetime! As I pulled into Quik Trip, I expected the usual gas station fare: stale hot dogs rolling on questionable rollers, a rack of potato chips with enough dust to start a small desert ecosystem, and that odd selection of beef jerky that's been aging gracefully since the Mesozoic Era. But boy, was I in for a shock! I strolled through the front doors and entered what can only be described as a gastronomic wonderland. Forget five-star restaurants; Quik Trip should have a galaxy next to its name! The air was thick with the tantalizing aroma of hot pizza, fresh pretzels, and all manner of fried goodies. It was as if the culinary gods had descended upon this gas station and declared, "Let there be flavors!" As I ventured further into this temple of tastiness, I stumbled upon the land of the roller grill. Here, the hot dogs were a siren's call, beckoning me with their plump, golden-brown allure. I loaded up on enough dogs and sausages to make even a competitive eater blush. I was in doggy heaven! The rolling grill was a masterpiece. I gazed upon an endless array of choices, Jalapeño Cheddar Smoked Sausages, the Steak & Cheese Taquitos, corndogs, Buffalo Chicken Bites, with Cheese, egg rolls and the safe go to of the basic hot dog. any choice you make will surely talk to you belly latter. (they sell Tums and Rolaids just for that purpose). they are missing out on a cross sell promotion if you ask me. And what's this? Freshly baked pretzels, twisted into glorious knots of doughy delight. I grabbed one, and it was like biting into a cloud that had been lightly salted by the laughter of angels. The crunch was music to my ears. Just when I thought I'd reached the peak of my culinary expedition, I arrived at the frozen delights section. Ice cream, my friends, the ultimate climax to this epic journey. I scooped up a cone with the skill of a seasoned maestro and let the cold, creamy sweetness transport me to a state of pure bliss. It was a dessert symphony in a humble cone. In conclusion, Quik Trip is "more than just a gas station"; it's a portal to culinary euphoria. From the mouthwatering pizza to the siren songs of the roller grill, and finally, the sweet crescendo of the ice cream cone, this gas station is a foodie's paradise. So the next time you're low on gas or just in need of an epicurean adventure, skip the fancy restaurants and head straight to Quik Trip. Your taste buds will thank you, and you might just find yourself in the throes of a gastronomic love affair, one ice cream cone at a time.

Over the last few years it has become more and more unpleasant to go in there, and last night was the last straw for us. I will starve or go without aspirin if needed in the future because I will NOT go back. We arrived at the door at 9:15p, checked the hours on the door before entering to be sure we were not going to be rude and hold up a store worker to find we had plenty of time because the store closes at 10pm. We had 4 indecisive people all going around looking at various snacks and drinks, enjoying ourselves and chatting obliviously other than noting the obnoxiously loud music being played by the store clerk. It was very loud and annoying, but whatever, he has to work there, so we get over those things. Then all of a sudden the clerk slammed the glass double doors shut, so we thought... "oh he must be wanting to close shop". What I can't get over is the way he behaved as I walked up to the counter to check out. Being a very friendly person I am, I smiled and said "Hi how are you" as I walked to the counter only to be greeted with a sour, eye rolling, face being put out that I was even there. I immediately looked for a clock thinking we had overstayed closing, and I said at the same time "did we keep you late, I thought you closed at 10? As my eyes found the clock, it was only 9:30p. What I cannot get over is that as my daughter and rest of my family filtered in behind me to place their items on the counter, he rudely barked and aggressively waved his arm "I've got stuff to do!". Hmm, ok. I was immediately offended by him snapping at me the way he did. It was uncalled for, and we are literally spending elevated(captive) prices for being off a hotel lobby just to shop in there, so being rude doesn't help me feel like ever coming back, not to mention how ghetto(run down, etc) feeling the store and Crown Center has become. This man's demeanor was awful. He clearly oozed resentment, disdain and indignation at having to be there and aimed that energy at my entire family. We completed the checkout in mostly tense silence other than I had to tell my husband to hurry up a bit to the counter because this guy has "stuff to do...", which clearly baffled him, and he said "wait I thought they were open until 10, it's only 9:30p?". I said "Yes, but he's got stuff to do apparently, and we're holding him up.". The man never, not once, took a step back, or apologized or let alone said "thank you"... he was just pissy the whole time. We won't be back, not even if we're desperate.
