I don't know how Californians tolerate these insane fuel prices but here we are and this was the least expensive in the area. It's convenient as I as already here to visit the Olive Pit and it was easy to get back onto I-5. The gas station smelled like a dirty diaper. We went in with cash so that we could get the discount and they would not take our cash because the computer system was down. They refused to give us the cash discount when using a card even though it was not our fault that their system was not working. The outside was not clean. Clean restrooms, plenty of pumps, nice cashier. There is not much to say about this location but a nice place to get gas.

Gas is overpriced. Window cleaning equipment is inadequate. I recommend continuing on passed Corning if you need to stop for gas.

There are 3 other gas stations clustered around this rest area, I believe a Chevron and another station. Of the 3, this Valero (Corning Food Mart) station was the cheapest of the 3. The price per gallon is cheaper is you pay in cash vs credit card by a few cents per gallon. read more

The cheapest of our three gas options was Valero, and it was conveniently across the street from the amazing Olive Pit store we had just left. We filled our Hybrid's tank at $4.03/gallon, emptied our car's trash into their bins, cleaned the windshield with soapy water, and easily hopped back on I-5NB. Well - this was a first for me. This was the first gas station that didn't provide the "cash" price for using my debit card. Now, mind you, I just finished travelling from Roseville, CA to a very very northern point up in Washington State - and back. Not one single gas station that offered cash vs. credit prices did this. I was flabbergasted - and I told the attend - and he just looked "indifferent". I get that he is not the owner and doesn't set the pricing policies - but to just give me a blank "deer in the headlights" stare? I also felt the station in general was very dirty and gross. Probably the cleanest gas station bathrooms I have ever encountered. The shop was also clean, well organized, and you can even grab olives and spicy pickled garlic and whatever else here if you don't want to deal with the Olive Pit. read more

They charge for ice even if you buy gas and use your own water bottle. Hard to find a place that would charge their customers to get water/ice. Lady was nice about it but took me by surprise, owners rule, not hers. read more

No advance notice that they charge 7 cents a gallon more then posted cash price for debit card. Attendant said it is a Calif. law. Another owner who is dishonest. Valero told me they have no control over what the owner does price wise.. Class action suit filed in 2015. No penalty! Rip the customer off. read more

Super friendly customer service, clean restrooms, and cheapest gas of the three gas stations. Easy on and off to the freeway, too!
