I stopped today to get gas here and use the bathroom. Several pumps were out of service. I finally found one that was in service and open only to not be able to pay at the pump. I stuck my debit card in - the machine locked it in and then didn't process payment. I will check with my back to ensure it doesn't double charge me. I walk in and explain what happen to the cashier - who just said well you can prepay inside. So I did $20. Made sure to get a receipt because if I have to dispute a charge I have proof of what should be charged. I ask where the rest room was and was pointed in the right direction. I get into the stall and it has zero toilet paper :( - thankfully I carry tissues in my purse. So I make do and head out to wash my hands - the paper towel dispenser is also empty leaving only the air dryer as an option. Finally I go to my car and try to pump the gas I paid for inside -which doesn't work. I walk back inside to be told "it timed out and try again." Finally I am able to pump my gas. I drive across to the Chevron station and finish filling my tank there even though it's more expensive and eat my lunch at the picnic table before continuing my drive. Long story short -avoid this place. It's not well maintained and the quality of service doesn't even warrant a single star. read more

I walked in to the restroom with my service dog while I was in the restroom I asked my bf to hold my dog. He did and the cashier Hispanic average guy around 30 years old told my bf " Dog is not allowed in here" my bf explained that she is a service dog and she have a tag plus we have a card that's says she is certified service dog. But the guy kept giving attitude saying that is not a service dog and everyone says that. It's your typical gas station, in that there's a convenience store inside with a decent selection of snacks and drinks. However, Baja Fresh and Subway are just nextdoor if you want to eat something hardier (er something that resembles an actual meal). There's not much more to say than that! This Valero gas station is located on a high traffic exit off the I-5. With a Carl's Jr, McDonalds, Taco Bell, Burger King, and Denny's at the same exit it's relatively convenient for a full scale rest stop break on long trips. I stopped here while on a trip from the Bay Area to Bakersfield and was pleasantly surprised to find the per gallon prices more on a level with stations in town than the inflated freeway pit stop prices. The Chase Inc. minimarts convenience store seemed clean and well stocked and the bathrooms were reasonable clean, so that was a nice surprise.
