We stopped here as a unexpected quick top off of gas on our way into Reno. A little pricey on the per gallon, but again being in California that's expected as well. But I insure to make sure to let my opinion be heard on the cleanliness of the restroom.

I had left my wallet at home by mistake. I left my whole backpack at home. I had no money & no gas to get home. I tried to use my phone but they couldn't accept payment from Venmo on the pumps. This review is to distinguish 2 employees that work at this Shell station. The gal that worked outside cleaning up last night (Xmas eve eve) & the guy with the full beard at the register. She felt really bad for me & said don't worry, I got you. I'm not gonna let you run out of gas to get home. I guess she would have given me her own cash !! So I called my daughter & she helped me set up Apple Cash on my phone & sent me some money. It took me a minute lol but I eventually figured it out & went in again to use tap to pay. At that time the bearded guy says oh if I knew you didn't know how to use it and you had come in I would have helped you set it up & showed you have to use it. I wish I knew you didn't know how I would have helped you of course. SERVICE LIKE YOU DONT SEE ANYMORE FROM BOTH OF THESE BEAUTIFUL SOULS. Thank you to you both. Then the pump took 10 minutes for 2 gallons - no exaggeration. I went in (while pumping), asked why it's pumping so slow and was told it just does that you need to give it a few seconds. When I went back in to get my change, The guy actually shortchanged me - which was the perfect conclusion to my last trip to this gas station.

Bad management at Maverik has resulted in high prices, especially on "old" food. They constantly run out of soda (without appropriate signage). A bathroom stall has been out of order for over three days. It took me 10 to 15 minutes to get the TP out of the remaining stall dispenser, while the two employees are gabbing at the kitchen while I appeared to be the only customer at 1:15 am. Pumps are often not working and run out of receipt paper. Sadly, a strawberry blonde night manager was the last straw. After angrily telling her my situation, she became hyper defensive and out of line with absolutely no people skills whatsoever. That inspired me to write this post!!!
