It's not often that I walk into a gas station and expect to have a very clean restroom and this by far was one of those locations that over, exceeded my expectations around cleanliness in the restroom overall But also the Store location as well. We stopped here as a unexpected quick top off of gas on our way into Reno. A little pricey on the per gallon, but again being in California that's expected as well. But that's not even the best part: my best friend discovered the lotto tickets and realized that she had never purchased one before. On a complete whim, she purchased one and we walked across the street toward Old Town Pizza to scratch it off. And she won $20! When we went to return the ticket for the money, the guy was hilarious and joked with us about how they didn't give cash back for those, we'd have to come back later. Of course, he was kidding! Bad management at Maverik has resulted in high prices, especially on "old" food. They constantly run out of soda (without appropriate signage). A bathroom stall has been out of order for over three days. It took me 10 to 15 minutes to get the TP out of the remaining stall dispenser, while the two employees are gabbing at the kitchen while I appeared to be the only customer at 1:15 am. Pumps are often not working and run out of receipt paper. Sadly, a strawberry blonde night manager was the last straw. After angrily telling her my situation, she became hyper defensive and out of line with absolutely no people skills whatsoever. That inspired me to write this post!!!
