I desperately needed caffeine (ugh, migraine!) and I knew the Valero gas stations in Sacramento have the Starbucks Refresher drink in Pink Lemonade. Using common sense, I knew this Valero must have the drink of my dreams. They did not disappoint. But that's not even the best part: my best friend discovered the lotto tickets and realized that she had never purchased one before. On a complete whim, she purchased one and we walked across the street toward Old Town Pizza to scratch it off. And she won $20! When we went to return the ticket for the money, the guy was hilarious and joked with us about how they didn't give cash back for those, we'd have to come back later. Of course, he was kidding! I got to admit I love how wide the gas station lanes are outside-this is the kind of gas station I want to frequent always. Walking inside I was really taken aback by the sheer size of the place..I guess I should've figured it out by just looking at the size of the building but yeah I was still surprised. Inside they have so much ready-to-eat food available-so much grab-and-go options but the thing that looked the most intriguing was the brisket wraps-next time I'm there,I will for sure be trying those brisket wraps. They have a pretty killer beer selection as well located in their stand-alone beer locker that keeps the beer ice cold. I can't quite put my finger on it but I just really liked the vibe in that gas station-the employees seemed happy and friendly and everything was super organized and clean. It's one of those rare gas stations where you don't feel like you're just stopping for gas--you actually want to go inside and look around. I can say with some certainty that this is my gas station of choice in the Rocklin area. It's a good one......Now to check out Buc-ee's.
