I visited this store this evening and bought a snack for $2.69. I asked the cashier if I could add some toppings, and he said yes, but he never mentioned there would be an extra charge. Later, I noticed he added $1 for the toppings. When I asked about it, he told me the owner instructed him to charge customers whatever he wants and keep the money himself. This is very disappointing and unprofessional. Customers should be clearly informed about any extra charges before they are added to the bill. The customer service was very poor, and the cashier (Kay Jay) was extremely rude. He even said he doesn't care about complaints. I would not recommend this location due to dishonest behavior and bad management. Please be careful if you decide to shop here. My 17 year old grandson went to buy gas over Labor Day weekend. Gave the older attendant with the white beard $35 cash for gas for his truck. Went to pump gas & it had not been keyed in. He went back in station & the attendant told him "the gas is in your tank, you already pumped it." He did NOT. Tank almost empty. Rude Attendant then gave him a receipt that was not his for $15. My teenage daughter took her truck here to get gas. She was on E. She put money in and it said that it pumped $20 worth of gas. She didn't get any gas. Her tank was still empty. She tried to explain what happened and the guy working yelled at her and refused to give her money back. All of the customers saw what happened and tried to help her but he refused. My family came here for the cheap gas on our way to the mountains. We waited our turn behind a truck towing a boat because we were also a truck towing a boat. There is not a lot of space for larger vehicles so it can get pretty crowded fast. The biggest complaint we had was the rude service. While my dad was cleaning the front windows and my sister was getting change from inside, an older ARCO worker came out and yelled at us for not moving our truck. The guy and my dad started raising their voices at each other because while the worker wanted us to move our truck+trailer for the big rig waiting behind us, my dad was mad that the worker was yelling at him for waiting for his change. The gas is cheap, but the service is rude. I guess that's what you get for coming to ARCO, but the customer service here needs to learn some manners. read more

They charge credit car fee's for Debit cards now, what a rip off. Debit card is like cash and they stop the pump at $100.00 now. Very inconvenience on trying to fill up a truck and higher fee's almost 10X the fee charge when filling up a truck. Not happy. May be I should fill up a 1 gallon at a time with 35 transactions fee's maybe that will be better. Or higher fee for them in the long run. Or maybe they should fix there problem . read more

The buzzed hair short guy that works here has a serious attitude problem. Tried to pump gas with debit card. It says see cashier. I went in and tried to pay with my card and the guy motions for me to go outside and pump my gas. I tell him it says see cashier. I assume he is from India and starts speaking his native tongue mixed in with bits and pieces of English. I ended up leaving because he obviously has something lodged up his rear. He has some attitude like being a gas station worker is somehow a good job? Makes me think of Frank Zappas song "wind up working in a gas station" and as you can tell by the name it suggests that working in a gas station is one of the lowest points a human being can hit. While they have hung up the sign stating (correctly) that masks are required indoors, zero people in the store were masked. This includes the workers as well as customers. It is January 2022 and COVID cases are at record highs. This is deeply irresponsible behavior. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE! Last night we attempted to use the outside pay station and it did not work. Went inside to swipe debit card, and told the guy at the register that we needed to fill up our car (so no limit). Filled up car and it automatically stopped at $11 - only about a third full! Went inside and asked for a receipt (again, the pay stations outside were not working). The guy took 3 minutes to print a receipt, which stated $11 PAID WITH CASH?! Left with frustration. Checked out bank statement after we left and we had a pending charge of $300.77?! Went back the store. The guy at the register tried to explain that is normal - "that's how we do business!!". He said that pending charge will disappear by the next bank working day. Later that night (about 2 hours later), we checked the bank again...now we had been charged $35! That is NOT what we got! Overall the guys that work here (or maybe even the owner?!) are scamming people. He probably pocketed the extra $24. We will return to speak to the owner. If it's not resolved we will be contacting Arco Franchise and who ever else we can. It's not right - and the guy who worked last night didn't even attempt to make it right. Everytime I travel to the bay area I always stop here on my way home back to Reno. I cut it close on gas but their customer service to my family is incredible. My daughter who suffers from a serious disease is always given her fountain soda at no charge. They always ask how she is doing medically. The hot dogs say buy one 1.69 get a second for 1.00 the guy with the turban overcharged me full price for both. I mentioned it to him but he didn't care. I bought the double cheese burger for my dog. She sniffed it briefly then gave a disgusted look and walked away. When a dog refuses to eat a hamburger that is not a good sign. Many people complain that for some reason the fuel here sets off their check engine light and that small engines don't run long on this fuel before breaking down. If I could give zero stars I would. Twice now we have gone in with horrible experiences. Once, after paying outside, the pump malfunctioned and was leaking gas from the hose. After wasting gas and my money ran in inside to tell the attendant. Gas was everywhere. Basically told me to f-off. Just went in for lotto tickets (guilty pleasure). Checked my tickets on the self serve machine which was giving me error messages. So, since I was going to buy more I went to the counter. Two men couldn't have been more rude. Said they didn't have time to check them and said I should check them myself. Explained that the machine wasn't working he also told me to go elsewhere. I was polite. I used machine outside to purchase $15 worth of gas. After pumping I received notification that a $50 hold was placed on my bank acct. went in got my receipt; showed correct amt. I asked clerk about 50 dollar hold and he was an idiot, insisting that I entered wrong pump number. Totally clueless. Never getting gas here again. We stop here on our way to and from the sierras because of the cheap cheap gas! You have to pay with your debit card or cash, but the gas prices are low so it's worth it! They have a convenience store and a restroom so it's a convenient place to stop for all your needs! read more

No stars... The gas pumps are faulty. Auto shut offs do not work. My husband got sprayed with gallons of gas, all over his clothes and truck. He went in to tell the attendant and was completely disregarded, the attendant held his finger in the air and said he would check it in a moment... I had a digital coupon for a free $0.99 bag of candy if I purchased a fountain drink. I was also buying an icee for my son and going to put $80 of fuel in my SUV. Supposedly the coupon code didn't work even though after I left it showed as having been redeemed. I left and went across the street to a different gas station. Instead of giving me a $1 bag of candy in exchange for me buy $80 of fuel and snacks they got nothing from me. read more
