It comes with fries too so it is very filling. Risotto- exceptional! The semi-raw egg just add an extra creaminess to it. But they drizzle quite a lot of oil on top of it so it felt a bit heavy but overall very good! Side note: the AC here is very very very cold so bring a jacket or come with an extra layer in summer time.

Though it's technically a restaurant, this place has a very big facility, which means if you want to come here for drinks, a place which functions kind of like a lounge, or have some sort of office event, this place is also a good choice. As such, this place is unsurprisingly quite popular on Friday night (or Thursday night also), or just nights when people typically have social activities in general. Personally, I feel like the food is not bad. I first came a number of years ago, and thought at the time that the food was pretty good. Having come back again in the past couple months as well, I found myself still basically feeling that way. However, I feel like this place is pretty bad value overall. It's very expensive, which is, I feel, mainly due to the high overhead costs. Having a restaurant in this one little area is very expensive, considering this is prime office real estate. The problem is made worse by the fact that they just have such a large space here. The amount of food you get is not really in line with the price you pay; it would be one thing if it were expensive and you got enough food with your dollar, but that's just not the case, even if the food is good. The problem isn't just M&M fox however, Quarry Bay in general is in general just a wasteland when it comes to fine dining that is actually good value. I think if you're really determined to have western food that is like... better than mcdonalds, you should either go to frites (less than five minutes away), or just not dine in this neighborhood in general.

My five star rating is based on the following: Drinks and food: 4 stars View: 5 stars Atmosphere: 5 stars Uniqueness for the area: 5 stars The views are spectacular and is often listed on the best rooftop bars for a reason. Drinks here are pricey and in line with prices in Central. A cocktail will set you back about 120 hkd and a bottled beer is 65 hkd. The food items are more appetizer size bar food than entrees and will set you back about 100-150 hkd. The portion size is pretty substantial and you can definitely share with others. I would recommend the fried chicken lollipops & burger. The pizza isn't too bad here either.

The view is quite special, whether you're viewing it from the terrace or the magical bathrooms that remind me of the one Moaning Myrtle haunts in Harry Potter if Hogwarts was set in a sleek-as-fuck Hong Kong high-rise. Aside from the view, the cocktails are unique and there's one that just gets me every time: the Purple Cloud, made with taro and coconut milk and rosemary and vodka and who remembers what else? One of these is a mandatory part of any evening at Sugar. Other drinks have been well enjoyed too, such as the Passionate Dragon. I've had several food offerings: one of the pizzas, s'mores, panini, chicken skewers, and seen companions enjoying the cheese plate (I'm lactose intolerant so can't comment on that.) All were totally solid if on the pricy side. I'll be back. I've already been back.

There is great open seating and the arrangement has a big community feel. The menu is pretty straightforward with a large beer selection and typical pub fare available. Steak and frites were a popular choice as well as the mussels. They have many sauce options and the mussels are all served in steam pots with a side of really srunchu bread. I ordered them house style and they were prepared with cream garlic and chives. The half order was very large and very satisfying. My sister ordered the chicken parm and it was huge! Big enough for two to share certainly. The service here was excellent and I would return!

With a playgound and kids trucks, this place is a paradise for kids. Luckiy it's better on a Sunday night tonight, where only a few families were having dinner and around 10 kids running around (still tolerable). The food was suprisingly good. The crab starter was interesting, a bit spicy and very refreshing. We have ordered a ribs stew with truffle mashed potato, which was very yummy. The wife's sausage was good too but we were already stuffed. Satisfying overall.
