Crêpes de atún con espárragos is tuna salad in a crepe with white asparagus tips stuffed in. A beautiful and very filling pinxto. For a spicy tapa we had anchoa rellena de fritada which has spicy green peppers on top of filet of anchovie. As you sit outside on the street where the bulls run during the festival of San Fermin, you can drink your beer or wine and imagine what it may be like to be with Hemingway, since nothing has changed in the neighborhood since before that era.

It was a shot in the dark, but it turned out to be an exceptional meal. We both started with a house made pasta with wild mushrooms and truffles. I had the steak, she had the cod. For dessert I had cheese and honey, she had something with berries. It was all so good, and surprisingly the highlight of a great few days spent in Pamplona. If you are in town, definitely make a reservation here. They should be charging more.
