They've used lot of granite/marble in the bathrooms. Beds were not comfortable. One of the beds creaked too. Had dinner in the hotel's restaurant, which was very disappointing. Ordered Paella, which looked very impressive when they brought it in. But, the rice was undercooked and had no flavor.

As its name implies, it is close to the aquarium and other buildings in the City of Arts and Sciences. That means it also is close to the large park where the river once was around the old city. The service at the front desk also is good, and the front desk can sell discounted tickets to the aquarium. The rooms are small and not much to look at, but they are very clean. The wifi does not work well and basically cut in and out the whole time we were there, making it impossible to play any movies or shows on our iPads. As a result of the poor wifi, I would not recommend it to someone who is travelling on business. The location definitely is the best thing about the hotel, which must be getting it the rating it has (along with the cost). Aside from the location and good service, it is a low frills hotel with looks to meet the low cost. So, depending on what you are looking for this hotel may or may not work for you. I would consider staying again if the price was good, although I definitely would also look at the other available options.

One benefit of staying at the Continental is that you won't want to be in your room much and you can see more of this great city. The service from start to finish was top tier and they did everything to make us feel welcome during our stay. We arrived around 1pm and we were able to get our room right away. The rooms here are massive. We had a king bed room, and it was more than enough space for two of us. With separate living room and bedroom area it was such an amazing place to rest after each day of exploring. The room feels a little bit on the older side, with the fan making a loud noise that we just got used to. There's not an electronic thermostat so we had to run the fan on max to keep the room cool. We didn't really use any of the amenities or the restaurant on-site because we wanted to explore the city with the 3 days we had here. They are renovating the gym, but they have a partnership with the gym across the street, which is available to use if you need it. Aside from the hotel, I think the location was perfect for us. We were a 20-minute walk in any direction from all the main sights and restaurants we wanted to explore. The hotel itself is quiet and far enough away from high traffic areas, so it was peaceful and serene throughout. Overall, loved our stay and honestly sad to leave because we loved Valencia and wish we had planned to stay more days here. Would definitely recommend this hotel when visiting the area.

What really set this stay apart was the attentiveness and warmth of the staff -- they made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived.
