BUYER BEWARE Of Their Dishonesty Under no circumstance should you enter into any business dealings with Luis Ruiz, Owner of Valencia Plastics. In February, 2023, I contracted with him to make two molds for me. He told me they would be ready in two weeks. I made the down payment of $15,000 and waited. Weeks, months past, with one excuse after another until today, December 1, and I still do not have my molds. They do not respond to telephone calls, text messages or emails. Occasionally, someone would answer and say Luis was not available. When I did have an infrequent occasion to speak with him, there was always an excuse regarding the hold up. He promised the molds were being made. I asked for pictures of the work in progress, he told me he would send them but never did. Finally, I asked him to return my deposit. -once again- excuses A few weeks ago, He told me he mailed the deposit in two checks (which were never received.) Again, excuses. One more month passed and he further told me he was mailing two more checks that night by UPS Overnight. The checks never arrived. Luis only responds to threats of litigation. He is a fraud, con man and is pathologically dishonest Luis has cost me at least one hundred thousand dollars in lost business since February and It is my further belief, he did not even attempt to make my molds. I'm a start up company, and this company helped me out in designing my product, and they even found a company in China that can build my mold for 50% cost savings. When the mold was finished they helped me in bringing the plastic injection molding through the port of San Pedro, which being a resent college graduate I had no idea on how to do this with all the red tape that the US had with China. Once the mold arrived here in the United States, Valencia Plastics ran my first production order which I'm now selling my products on Amazon. We attempted to do business with this company a few months ago and after reading these reviews I'm glad we did not. We drove over an hour to meet with Luis and talked about our product for an hour more. He said he would call with a quote in a couple of days and never did. We called him eventually and the quote he gave us was very low, albeit AFTER we would have to pay $14,000 up front. We negotiated with him and he again said he would get back to us. It was no surprise that he never did. We called him more than 2 weeks later and he said he was in a meeting and would call back. That was over 6 months ago. He is clearly a scam artist looking for a sucker to pay him up front so he can then leave with your money and no product. DO NOT USE VALENCIA PLASTICS OR DEAL WITH LUIS RUIZ. Update 8/21/14: Just received a call in response to our review from Luis. I corrected the amount he was asking for up front. I guess he only calls customers back if you write a negative review to get his attention. read more

Worst possible experience. After 14 months my molds were never completed. Communication is terrible. They make promises and never met a deadline. Completely unprofessional. Eventually had to pursue legal action to get my $30k+ deposit back after a year. Avoid at all costs. read more

I used this company to design Lawn ornaments they did a great work on the design and helped me to find a company that had a big enough 3-D printing machine to create my 3 designs. We did not move to the next phase which is building their tools , that is the expensive part we are currently working with investors to fund the tooling once we get the funding we will defiantly come back to Valencia Plastics and their team to build the molds and blow mold the lawn ornaments.
