The problem is your counter guy -- long-haired white dude. He saw me walk in, looked away, and kept talking to his buddy in the back. When he finally came over, he grabbed the wrong size papers twice. I had to point at the shelf. Then he answered his phone mid-transaction and told the caller he'd call back, while I stood right there. Total came to about twenty-three bucks. I asked for one more pack to make it twenty-five even. He scanned it, it went over, I said take it off. He did. I handed him twenty-five. He owed me a dollar-something in change. Instead of giving it to me, he held my money and asked the guy in the back to turn on the lights. Still holding my change. I had to ask for it. He told me not to come back. If he worked for me, he'd be fired. He answered his phone while helping a customer, ignored me for two minutes when the shop was empty, and held my change hostage. The product's fine. The service isn't.

Cos can sometimes be a bit quite and reserved, even stand offish especially at first, but he's a really great guy and has great suggestions and even gives me special offers sometimes. They are one of the oldest small businesses in Santa Clarita (30+ YEARS) and are a real treasure to the community. I wish they had some volunteers to help clean up and organize the place, I think it could really become a great REAL World Market/ Retro type of shop with the right makeover. I…read morebought a basic medium size/small size pipe for $16, I know glass isn't cheap but keep in mind, I worked for a wholesale smoking supplier and also worked at smoke shops in the past so to have your cheapest pipe priced at $10 just seems very price gouging Also, when I got home, I realize that I should've got a bubbler. Only because pipes don't have the smoothest hit sometimes and unless you have a catcher, then you can swallow the green and that's really unpleasant. I called and spoke to an associate who said she needed to talk to her boss I could exchange the pipe for the bubbler ( I hadn't even took the price tag off the pipe yet, it was unused) I called her back, probably 30 minutes later to get an update and she was told that she could not do the exchange and when I asked why she told me that if there was nothing wrong with the pipe, then we couldn't do returns or exchanges. From a business sense, if a customer decided that they would rather come back into the shop to spend more money on a product. I would let them do the exchange, especially if they didn't even put their lips to the pipe yet. You get more money from the customer, you get a returning customer and you'd get a better yelp review but that's just me.
