Vale Vet has been my vet since they opened I'm 2011. I believe my cats have received the best care possible.

It's like a closet size where the cats have different levels to up on. You can even let the staff play with them in an open space, or if your at is like mine and doesn't care too much for strangers they can just chill on one of the meany levels. Also for boarding a cat is a really great price. And if anything happens they call you and your furry family member's vet.

I have had Bane for about a year and a half (his about 3 1/2 years old.) He has been almost uncontrollable since day one. Although there was some initial improvement, he has had no sense of boundaries and could get aggressive when touched. Sissy and I spoke at length by phone prior to bringing Bane there. She seemed very knowledgeable about training, in general, as well as being keenly aware of the specific needs and disposition of English Bulldogs. Bane boarded and worked with Sissy for training at Off Broadway Pet Boarding and Training for a full week. While the space was fairly small, I was impressed with the cleanliness and order. Sissy and I spoke almost daily about Bane's progress. It because apparent by day 3 that I needed the training as much as he did. Upon picking him up, he seemed happy and well adjusted. He is now able to follow simple commands, which we continue to work on at home. Since I opted to use a pinch collar with him, it is important I continue to execute the training and coaching she provided for us. His overall behavioral changes have been nothing less than miraculous. He is much more calm, isn't aggressive towards other people or dogs and seems much happier, as are well! I would highly recommend Sissy for any training and/or boarding needs you may have.

If you are looking for a great kennel for your fur babies, I highly recommend Fairwinds Animal…read moreStay. Koda had never been boarded and to say he had a rough start to his stay would be a huge understatement. Karen and her staff worked with him to ease his anxiety(and mine). I was given daily updates and when we arrived to pick up our sweet pup, it was clear he had bonded with the staff. This kennel is top notch and I can't recommend them enough.. definitely worth the drive from Winston Salem to Statesville! We have found our kennel!

The inside of the kennel has AC the out side was covered. They also have an uncovered area fenced off for the dogs to play. They have room for horses but they didn't have any the days I was there. The one owner I worked with was Karen. She was friendly, knowledgeable and knows people love their pet like children and she treated them that way. She made sure she knew everything she needed to know for caring for our girls. When I picked my girls up a few days later i was running a little late and Karen told me not to worry about it she will be there. When we got there she was out walking the girls and letting them play. The girls were very happy but tired from playing, but it made the ride back to Winston a little easier with them sleeping. I was very happy with the experience. This is the first time i have boarded my dogs with a kennel. I usually left them with friends. I have always worried about my dogs getting fleas etc. at a kennel because of past experiences. Fairwinds is by far the best kennel I have ever used. Its worth the trip from Winston

    Animal Hospital Of Marion

I rarely leave reviews, but I am compelled to share our experience with Animal Hospital of Marion…read more I cannot say enough about Dr. John, his wife, and their incredible team. They turned one of the most heartbreaking weeks of my life into a story of hope and healing. Our 12-year-old Miniature Schnauzer, Cooper, is my "soul dog"--his companionship is what got me through the loss of my mother in 2016. Last Monday, he became violently ill. Because Miniature Schnauzers are predisposed to pancreatitis, we were on high alert. I had him at his regular vet in Morganton by 9:00 AM. While waiting for blood work, Cooper began bleeding profusely from his rectum. I ran through the hallway with him, covered in blood, begging for help. Shockingly, in that emergency, this office--a vet we had visited 10+ times and who had performed two prior surgeries on Cooper--required a second, hefty payment up front before they would even touch him. To watch my dog hemorrhaging and have it insinuated they wouldn't help until I paid again was traumatizing. He was diagnosed with HGE (Hemorrhagic Gastroenteritis). After three days of treatment, the vet suddenly mentioned euthanasia on Thursday because Cooper wasn't "bouncing back" fast enough. Worse, they closed at noon on Thursday for the MLK holiday weekend and wouldn't reopen until Tuesday. The thought of Cooper going four days without a vet made my anxiety skyrocket. I wasn't ready to give up. I called Animal Hospital of Marion because of their wonderful reputation. They squeezed us in Friday, and everything changed. Unlike our previous experience, there was no discussion of payment before they helped my boy. Their priority was his life, not my wallet. Dr. John's persistence is the reason Cooper is alive. He recommended an ultrasound, and though upset stomachs are full of gas that can block imaging, Dr. John refused to stop. He took multiple images from different angles until he found the real trigger: a mass on Cooper's spleen. The compassion here is unmatched; the office manager even hugged and prayed with us. Dr. John and his wife own this practice, and they pour their hearts into it. His wife even came in on her day off Saturday to help him perform the surgery (splenectomy). Dr. John was honest, explaining that if the mass is Splenic Hemangiosarcoma (HSA)--an aggressive "ticking time bomb" cancer--we may only have about six months left with him. But he gave us a choice and the truth. He even called me personally today (Sunday) to tell me Cooper was alert and had finally eaten! They aren't even "open" on Sundays, yet he took the time to check on my boy. They kept Cooper Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (tonight) nights to ensure he was fully stabilized and safe under their watch. They have been so incredibly accommodating that they even told us he was welcome to 'hang out' with them Monday morning if we had things we needed to take care of. It is rare to find a team that treats your pet like their own guest rather than just a patient. Despite the holiday and weekend timing, we found them to be incredibly affordable. I live 45 minutes away, but I would drive 4+ hours for this level of care. We are at peace knowing Dr. John did everything humanly possible for Cooper--no matter the outcome. My boys will never go anywhere else! Words will never express our gratitude.

There really aren't many options in the area…read more The quality of care is acceptable, but not exceptional. The organization leaves a bit to be desired. The place is LOUD. There are add on fees for everything. The logo looks like a 3 leg dog with the cat's head in its mouth ().
