Hi so my mom died April and I was pretty sad and shaken up after it then I had to go through her…read morebelongings which was tough. She had dementia and lost her wedding ring but still had her engagement ring when she died and I really wanted something to remember her But it was too small to wear and I am married. A friend suggest upcycling the ring to make it personal for me. I wasn't sure how to do this Or even what to design with it. I had a wonderful experience at Worthmore in Decatur Georgia buying my wedding rings and I thought I'd stop by and ask Laura Foster who had really helped out me out with those. Well not only did she listen to the stories about my mom, and helped me asses the value of the ring and gold she had but she helped me design an amazingly beautiful pendant to remember my mom using her engagement ring and we talked about what her life meant to me. I ended up with a compass pendant since mom was my guide and I became hers later in life. Laura even suggested using her diamonds to face east to west for her sunrise and sunset. With a special inscription on the back. I am in awe of the work they do at Worthmore and I recommend them anyone who needs a special piece of jewelry commissioned or is just looking for someone to take you under their wing and talk wedding rings and jewelry to you. Laura is very informative she also helped us insure our precious pieces which came in handy when I lost the diamond from my wedding ring in a freak accident! Their store also has alot of one of a kind stuff too! So go see Laura Foster and she will help you find the special piece that everyone will comment on and you will never take off!

We had an amazing experience working with Olya to design our engagement ring! From start to finish,…read moreshe was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and attentive to what we were looking for when designing a custom ring. Olya went out of her way to send us several iterations of drafted designs, helping us bring our vision to life. She made the entire process enjoyable and thoughtful, making sure every detail was just right, and truly "demystified" the diamond buying process. The finished ring is absolutely beautiful, and we couldn't be happier with how it turned out. We truly appreciate the time, care, communication, and expertise that she put into the whole process.

I wanna share a story that happened to me this morning. I have a very expensive bracelet that I…read morehave worn maybe five times. The lock on it wouldn't secure safely so I stopped wearing it. I was told by a jeweler that simple fix was gonna cost. So, I put it away for years. Last night, I looked in my safe for some important papers and the bracelet spoke to me. Told me to have it fixed. This morning I took the bracelet with me while I ran errands and got my car washed. I passed by this jewelry store and pulled in the lot. From the outside it looked like a old pawn shop that needed to be up to code. I was backing out and some thing said "this is the place". I walked in and said good morning. The owner...a black businessman, responded and asked how can he assist me. Told him my situation and gave him my bracelet. He looked at it, got a tool, gave it back to me and said, have a nice day. He blessed me with the milk of human kindness and sent me on my way. I don't know was it my manners when I walked in the store or his kindness....or both, but I am satisfied. Thank you Mr. Burks.

Feeling frustrated, I have been driving around with them in the car. Upon finding Burks (for an Omega watch battery replacement) ... and seeing how efficient and amazing experience that was (real time folks - no drop off and come back later) ... I decided to try the frames for a fix ... AND THEY ARE FIXED! I can't wait for my mom to see them. I think she's forgotten about them by now. Thank you Mr Burk! I am a fan! And will be back!

However, the patek store is not listed separately here on Yelp I scheduled a service appointment ahead of time prior to arriving at the store because that was required even for a battery change. Leading up to my visit I did call the store to ensure turnaround times as well as cost. Upon arriving at the store, I must say it is absolutely beautiful with obviously only display watches. And the gentleman who helped me branyon was super nice and friendly and helpful. In fact, he even beat the turnaround time that was quoted to me over the phone by the store earlier in the week. He even went above and beyond by offering to show me watches, even though I had not made a separate sales appointment. That was very kind and very tempting of him. I must say unfortunately this trip was not for shopping. It was for a family celebration. I will say if I do ever have to get my watch serviced again I will definitely come back here. Flying to Atlanta from Chicago is barely 2 hours and not expensive at all. And getting to this location is super easy right outside of the city. I wish I had more time during this visit. Otherwise I would have gone into the Brown and Company store, which is right across from the Patek store. Perhaps on my next visit I will and maybe the people who work there will be just as kind and gracious as the staff were here

Doing some research and visiting other jewelers for engament rings and wedding bands, I found their prices to be the most expensive out of the places we looked. None of them really gave me the "wow, this is my ring" feel, though they were pretty and shiny. I appreciated the time and information I got from the lady who helped us, but $3,000 for a men's titanium ring seems steep so we're going elsewhere.
