I had a broken bar/vac head on my vacuum cleaner, a brand that's not typically sold in this area so I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to get it repaired locally, so I thought I would give Vacuums Etc a try and see if they could do the repair. ABSOLUTELY they were able to do the work in a timely manor, affordable price and super quick return. When they called to inform me the work was completed and I could pick up the repaired item, they inquired as to the condition of the replaceable internal hepa filters, something I would have never thought of, anyway I also had them order those and I will pick them up in a couple of days Total positive experience! read more

We took our carpet shampooer in to be cleaned, which we've done with vacuums before. We then got a phone call that it didn't work and needed to be replaced. I don't remember the name of the employee, but he told me that it didn't work when he started it and he had contacted Hoover who told him it would have to be completely taken apart to fix it. I told him it was only to be cleaned and I was completely baffled as to what he was talking about or why he even started it. I told him to stop whatever he was doing and we'd come get it. Be forewarned that if you're dealing with the man, his goal is to sell you a $450 vacuum. When we walked in with a Dyson which we had had 10 years and worked perfectly until recently, he started by claiming how bad Dysons were blah, blah, blah. This guys selling technique is to wear you down like a time share pitch if you've ever done that!. I'm angry at myself, but I had a migraine and my husband has dementia and I told him repeatedly that I didn't come there to spend $450 but he wouldn't stop and I didn't have my defenses up going in. So I ended up walking out with his stupid vacuum. If I knew going in that was going to be the play, I would have resisted better .Dealing with dementia teaches you to take care of business quickly and efficiently to save your energy for important stuff so we bought the damn vacuum and I'm angry with this place and myself for caving. I ONLY gave 1 star because I cannot give 0 stars. I had my vacuum service on April 19, 2019 for $104.13. My backpack vacuum cleaner worked for one month and that's all after being "fixed" by vacuums etc. Prior to this TERRIBLE COMPANY touching my backpack vacuum cleaner, it worked for 2 1/2 years. I had a flush outlet and a toggle switch. He was raving about how good a pigtail switch works better than what the factory provided. So, that's what he put on my backpack vacuum cleaner. It took one month for my extension cord in my vacuum cleaner to literally catch on fire & fused together. He says that it's not his fault and I would have to allow him to put a new one on and pay for it in full. Whatever happened to customer service? I had done some research on higher end vacuums such as riccar and miele. I had not seen any riccars locally, as come to find out they are only sold here, or in mableton. I went in, feigning ignorance to see where it would go. The salesman and owner was very informative, friendly, and never tried to up-sell. In fact, if anything, he was down-selling me. I appreciated the sales tact and lack of pushiness, and ended up purchasing a miele from there. Personally I wanted the upright riccar, but that's another discussion. I asked about repairing my wet vac, and was dissuaded as the repair would likely almost equal the cost. If you need a vacuum, I highly recommend you stop by and take a look. A nice higher end vacuum may be closer (and cheaper) than you think. This is a nice, friendly, local business and and far as I can tell, they will do right by you. read more

I took my vacuum here and not only was I charged more that I was quoted, but the first time I started my vacuum, my supposedly 'new' belt broke. I opened the vacuum to try to fix it and there was dirt and dust all through it. They did nothing to my vacuum and charged me $75. When I tried to get the money back, I was ignored. read more

As a patron of many businesses in the Canton and Woodstock area, I'd have to say that Vacuums Etc has the worst business ethics I've ever encountered. I first called to see if they could fix my Panasonic vacuum and the owners' son was very polite and welcoming and was confident the machine could be fixed quickly and inexpensively, within an hour or so. After making the drive down to Woodstock, part in hand, the gentleman told me that they needed a $10 deposit to go toward repairs. I thought, that was strange, why didn't the owners son mention this, but, OK- paid the $10 and went on my way. Got a call about 10 minutes later to learn that they don't have the parts in stock to fix it and they don't service that machine because the parts don't interchange, but they could order the part. Oh, and the $10 was for them to "look at it" and non refundable. WHAT??? They explained that I could also apply the money towards bags, belts, etc. WOW, but OK... I waited to get a price on the replacement part, after they explained I could put the $10 towards the replacement. OK, so they gave me a price of $25- I went ahead and told them to order it. Just before closing that day, they told me that, no it was now $45 that they had made a mistake on the price- all this after they had the part in hand with the model number and everything they needed.... Can you say incompetent... Anyhow, never got my $10 back from Vacuums Etc. and got the part fixed at an honest place of business- Vacuum World. I need to mention they fixed it for free! It was just a matter of lube on the bearing. WOW, what a company!! Needless to say, $10 is such a minimal price for loss of many customers for life, especially in this economy. I'm a pretty easy going person and it takes a lot to get me riled up but I felt very uneasy about this whole experience- from the moment Chris asked me for a deposit, to the moment he doubled prices on me. What a waste of time, and in this case, $10! I will absolutely be taking my business elsewhere and telling anyone and everyone not to do business with these guys. Vacuums Etc. Is the most honest ,upfront,helpful business I have ever worked with. I have been there many times and they are always kind and helpful. I should have written this review a year ago but just never thought about it. Anyway, my vacuum cleaner that I had bought a few years before at another vacuum store kept braking. I really can not remember what it was even doing. I took it in several times and they kept trying to fix it. I paid them for the repair the first time..but after that they could not get it to,work right. The third time I took it in , I left it in to be repaired and was later called to say they would replace it free of cost. I was amazed! I love this store! They sell the best vacuum cleaners at the best prices. I have bought many from them over the years, mostly Riccar and Miele. They are extremely knowledgeable about vacuum cleaners in general. Every single person at that store has been extremely friendly and helpful with no pressure regarding sales. They explain what the individual machines are capable of very clearly so you can make a decision based on your individual needs. I have brought several in for service that I had given to my children that would not even turn on. They restored them in perfect condition, all tuned up for about 70 dollars. The newer model Riccar (American made), has a longer cord AND a longer wand reach that compete easily with the German made Miele! They don't try to pressure you to purchase and they have really good sales, prices and information. They also have a large array of cleaning cloths and solutions. read more
