Called stove barn which has changed hands to Caesar. Clearly explained that I had an OPEN LOG fireplace that had the pilot light go out. They scheduled a visit. Today- they came and said they would not service any open log set ups. Even though they are qualified on gas stoves- would not touch it. Even though I bought it from the company that existed previously. Why come in the first place ? Did not recommend anyone who could service it. It's been running fine for years. Left me high and dry with no recommendations as to how to get it back on. Very unsatisfied.

I can't say enough positive things about Appliance Remedy. He lives very close to me and every time…read moreI've had a need, he's here very quickly (sometimes within minutes!). He has installed and repaired several of my appliances. Last year he installed my new gas stove 2 days before Thanksgiving. He tested for gas leaks prior to leaving and it was negative. The following day, I was about to travel to NJ and still smelled rotten eggs. I asked if that was normal - absolutely not. He was at my house within minutes. The problem was the gas valve itself (bad, old style) and when I moved the stove back in place, it caused a leak. Nothing he did wrong. He fixed it and tested it to ensure safety. This made it so my animals were safe in the home while we were gone. I can't imagine what would've happened if he weren't so responsive! I had the faulty valve replaced as soon as I returned. Always grateful.

Our ice maker broke and Paul was out numerous times to figure out the issue, thought he knew a couple of times and that didn't work. This was in a time span of 4-6 weeks which is way too long for a repair. I had to keep calling to ask what the status was. We spent money and we still have a broken ice maker. I finally called and told Paul never mind, we didn't need his services anymore. In the past he has fixed our stove and it's fine. I do think he is knowledgeable but maybe our ice maker was beyond his expertise. Just wish he would have recognized this instead of charging more money.
