I've been wanting to get cameras at my home since moving here a bit over a year ago. I don't even…read moreremember how I stumbled upon 606 installs but it was lucky. Another company I had spoken with had quoted me more than twice the price, I guess because the cameras they use are fancy or something? I don't know, because the ones Ernesto installed are great and doing precisely what I wanted. When I was on my search for home security cameras, I kept mostly finding things like ADT, SimpliSafe, or something else that was largely about selling you the monitoring plan; the equipment I think was less expensive but then you're paying for the monitoring. I am not generally a fan of the everything-is-now-a-subscription-or-service thing nor do I want to be beholden to whatever rates a company decides to charge. Some of those also were self-install options, which didn't interest me at all. They hooked up several cameras at our home to provide various views, including the basement since I wanted to be able to see what's happening down there when I'm upstairs. The system has a hard drive that can support up to eight cameras. We can save photos, videos, and also play back to see what happened earlier in the recording on the various cameras. Although they could have provided a monitor, we don't really have a place for it so we simply have an app on our phone through which we can view the cameras. I'm not sure why, but I thought it would go much more quickly than it did. I have no frame of reference to know how long it should have taken so that's not a criticism. It took about six hours total but having it done well was the most important part. I would highly the crew at 606 installs for their professionalism, reasonable rate, and excellent work.

They sent out an awesome employee who removed the old speakers and replaced with my new ones in less than an hour. Everything worked and I couldn't be happier. I would definitely use them again.

I'll probably end up replacing the screens again eventually. Also, one of the screen doors is missing a handle. I missed that the day Mr. Greaves returned the screens. needed several of my window and patio door screens replaced and found Capstone via a Google search. My brother called and spoke to Mr. Greaves (owner), who stated he could do the repair. Mr. Greaves called me a couple of days later and made an appointment to visit my home. Capstone offers a free pick-up option, or the screens can be repaired on-site. I was told that the patio screen doors would cost $90 each and each window screen (4) would cost $25. I opted to get pet mesh since I have cats. Mr. Greaves said he'd take the screens to his store for repair, and he'd return them the following day. He also said he'd send me an estimate via email. I received the estimate, and it was much higher than anticipated. The window screens (two different sizes) were $30 and $40 each instead of $25. I didn't make a fuss about it since I know the pet mesh is more expensive. The patio screen doors did cost $90 each, though, just like Mr. Greaves initially stated. The bill for the six screens was $352. Hopefully, the pet mesh does the trick, and I won't need to replace the screens again. If that's the case, then the price will be money well spent. I appreciate the pick-up/drop-off service provided by Capstone. I wouldn't hesitate to contact them again or refer them to friends.

Just had the opportunity to engage with a security guard from SDI Security. I was walking along the…read moresidewalk outside of West Point Plaza at 300 S Damen Ave in Chicago when suddenly my knee gave out. With a friend I managed to get to a cement flower pot to sit on / lean against while wincing in excruciating knee pain. Pain was so bad I could not put any pressure on the knee so we quickly decided that the ER at Rush Medical was the logical next step, so called up an Uber and waited for the car. Suddenly a security guard from SDI, working at this Plaza came out of the building yelling at us to get off the flower pot and off the property. We attempted to explain the situation but he did not give a damn and literally screamed at us to go wait on the sidewalk and to get off their property. We told him I was incapable of walking and he still didn't care and insisted we get off the property immediately. He stated that it/we didn't look good hanging out like we were on his property and had to get off immediately. We attempted to reason yet again but he wouldn't give us any time and we could tell he simply didn't care. The pain in my knee from a scale of 1-10 was a 10+. So we told him to call the cops if he wanted us off and he repeatedly stated that he wouldn't call them but kept telling us to get off the property. So, we called the cops. As he continued to belligerently yell at us we let the police know the situation and gave them the address. Minutes later the Uber arrived, unfortunately before the police. So we hopped in and headed over to the ER, where I ended up being at for about 3 hours, with X-rays, pain killers, crutches & a leg immobilizer. It's looking like surgery is up next. Am unsure if the cops showed up. If this is the type of Security Guard that SDI provides, they should be out of business. This guy was beyond rude and inconsiderate. He turned an unfortunate and painful experience into an unnecessary traumatic one. I do not recommend them.
