I arrived for my appointment on time and watched people who arrived after me get called back for 30 minutes. At noon, I asked the woman at the front desk if they would be able to get me in soon as my appointment was half an hour ago. She said yes, and it would just be a few minutes. Fair enough, the salon was busy. 30 MORE minutes later, they are STILL calling people back who arrived after I did. At this point, I asked the front desk again whether they would be able to get me in soon and pointed out the fact that people who arrived after me had been called back for an hour, even after I had said something once. They MISSED MY APPOINTMENT somehow, after I had been checked in, sitting in front of them, and asked the front desk TWICE when it would be time for me. They did apologize and offer a discount, but I'd prefer to find a nail salon who doesn't ignore the existence of longtime customers.

If you make a mistake, just take accountability for it and apologize to your customer. I had a very busy day and wasted 30 minutes driving to not even receive an apology for their mistake. Bad professional business practice! Hair color service was not as expected and clothing damaged…read morewith bleach - salon owner would not offer any compensation. My daughter requested a hair color that was silver with a very pale blue through it. She had medium brown hair and was only told that it may not be as light as she wanted the first time. Hair was bleached and it came very light, toner applied and then the dye went on - deep cobalt electric blue on the roots and silver on the lower half. It was not what she asked for and nothing like the pictures she showed. The only instructions were to wash every other day. The first washing the whole hair turned very blue. I called the salon and was told by Carly, the owner that the only thing that could be done was to wash it. (no mention of clarifying shampoo) She also stated that it looked exactly like the picture but she wasn't even there when it was finished. The second washing the whole lower portion turned green. The salon was closed for two days and my daughter was freaking out. So I researched and went to a beauty supply, purchased products to tone down the blue and cover the green which worked perfectly. It ended up the color she had originally wanted. We also had realized the day of the salon service that her clothing, both shirt and pants were damaged badly with bleach. I called the salon and spoke to the Jaclyn, stylist and then Carly, the owner. She said she didn't believe the damaged clothing happened in her salon because it had never happened before. She again stated that the color had come out exactly as the pictures and that we didn't complain when there. My daughter's hair wasn't even dry - she left the salon wet so we weren't sure what it would be like when dry. She also said I should have called and made an appointment to let them fix her hair (even thought the salon was closed) but we wouldn't have gotten an appointment for two weeks. She stated they are very busy and also asked me if I expected them to be available 24/7 for a hair emergency. Carly stated that Jaclyn spent a lot of time and used a lot of products on her hair but I paid the price of a high end salon for this service (over $350) and went to a professional salon to avoid having to color hair at home and/or ruin clothing. I was requesting compensation for only the products and clothing totaling $103. She told me that she would not compensate me for the products or the clothing and offered nothing to me. When I suggested I would have to file a complaint, she stated that I should go ahead. This is a horrible way to do business and I want to let people know what happened to us to avoid this happening to others. I have also filed a complaint with the BBB and will proceed with small claims court.
