Best experience under sad circumstances for a Limo for funeral. Our Limo driver Brian was an excellent driver with loads of experience. He opened doors assisted getting out but handled 8 1/2 hours from NJ to Long Island to cemetery in devastating traffic both ways in pouring rain. felt like a Queen. highly recommend VEI and Brian for any event Limo was beautiful modern fancy lighting and extremely comfortable. read more

THEY LEFT MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS STRANDED IN PHILADELPHIA!! Hired them to take family/friends to our son's wedding in Philadelphia. Drop off was fine. When they were called to pick up, no one came. Finally after quite some time they called and said driver had locked his keys and phone in his bus. This went on for three hours with differing stores back and forth. They never offered another vehicle; never offered to have someone drive keys to the driver. Finally at midnight, we had to get two expensive Ubers to get our loved ones back to Keyport. Disgraceful conduct, terrible lack of communication, stories didn't match up, upset the bride and her family as well, never paid us for the Ubers. I would not advise anyone to trust. read more

I rented a party bus for me and my 8 friends for my 21st birthday. Paul was an amazing driver, very very sweet. no complaints at all, was so nice the entire time. i rented the bus for 5 hours. the rule was no vomiting on the bus or you will be charged $250. okay, no problem. we signed something and agreed to that. had a great night. all of a sudden my mother wakes up to a charge to $250 dollars. with no notice or conversation before hand. we were very shocked and didn't know why the charge came through because amex noticed us and not the VEI company. we call the limo company and the guy proceeds to say "oh you got the charge that fast?". i go, yes i ddi. why wasn't there a conversation before hand about the charge being put on the card. because my friends and i MADE SURE of there being no vomit on the bus and we wanted to respect the company. no problem, we went down to the company in Matawan NJ to see the bus after the night out to review what it looked like to see the mysterious "vomit". turns out there was no smell at all, and no vomit. the company lied and wanted an extra $250. they refunded us but this is complete bullshit. there was no throw up at all or smell. we even called Paul (the driver) to confirm no one got sick and he even said there was no sight of vomit. this company sucks. never use them again. they will take your money and Maria has a serious attitude problem, don't trust her. do yourself a favor and just go to middletown and use a company with better class people. VEI limos suck. i'm telling you, this company is a scam its reallt sad. i couldn't even enjoy my 21st bday because they tried taking my money, knowing i'm 21 years old. so beyond sad, this company is a bunch of assholes and they suck. read more

Do not assume because one of the passengers that was moving to a different country had ALL of their belongings to take back by plane. NOT how it works, most of their items were shipped but that's really none of your business. You were engaged for a trip to the airport THAT'S IT! 2. The discount - thanks I guess? 3. Bags - I'll give you we exceeded the stated 6, by having 5 bags and 2 SMALL umbrella strollers. Any business with proper customer service could have handled this better. I have the text messages too, looked at them again to confirm this. 4. Driver - I NEVER EVER EVER said that the driver was the unreasonable person. I however, DID specify it was the owner's son Anthony who the driver called on the phone. That man is scaredddddd for his job. I still live in Matawan (since you're so convinced I moved to a different country) and have no problem coming to your office to have you and said driver look me in the eye about trying to accommodate us getting to JFK. But it's really our word against yours and I'm not stupid enough to think you'll ever admit fault. We can compare phone records between myself calling Patsy Taxi and your driver's calls to you, because the ONLY call from your people to me, is right before the driver arrived to note he was on his way. 5. Cut the crap with the small business. I lived in those apartments on your street for many years and have even been a passenger for a trip booked by someone else, that went fairly smooth. I didn't just stumble across your business because the owner's daughter worked with one of the passengers. I wanted to give the local people the business, I would have easily went with a bigger name. It just happened to be what we thought was a cool coincidence. Did she not tell you we knew of the place???? What I will NOT do, is lie about a review. Rented a Party Bus from this Establishment for a Sweet Sixteen party for Kida in the Poconos. First the positive the Bus did show up on time and in very nice condition. Paul the driver was very nice and respectful. Unfortunately Paul went to the wrong address. I know things happen and even though it was frustrating Paul eventually reached out to me and got my group at the location even though it was a hour later than I hoped. I reached out to the company that monday and they told me I confirmed that address. I do not live close to the poconos I could not have even given another address if I tried. Manager actually told me I should be appreciative because kids enjoy party buses and they aren't going to charge me for the extra time. This man was very rude and condescending. He actually laughed at me and mocked me. Please use any other establishment. You might very well get lucky like others have but ask yourself if it's worth the risk. read more

Had a great night bus was great driver "Paul" was amazing. Next morning I got a fine of $250 from "throw up". The company didn't call me or let me know of this charge I received it through my phone. I called the limousine company in regards to this charge, the person on the phone was anthony and he said that there was throw up in the champagne holder and all over the seat. My family went to the bus company straight away because we knew there was no throw up in that bus. They were scamming us. We went in the bus the morning of and there was no sign of throw up or smell of such thing. We talked to the owners they said they had "no sense of smell" and they couldn't tell if it was throw up or not. Luckily we had to call the bus driver that drove us around all night because the owners refused to call him and he said that there was no throw up in the bus there was a sprite can spilt that they had assumed was throw up and charged us anyways. Just letting you know this place is a scam and they WILL charge you for false accusations. The charges were dropped because they knew there was no site or smell of throw up. We found working with VEI to be extremely enjoyable. Both drivers were on time and even made me feel at ease as we had to wait for a wedding before ours that ran late at the church. The same driver who drove the limo picked us up for our airport transfer the day of our honeymoon! He was so nice and excited to see us again he greeted us by name with a big warm smile. We used VEI Limousine for our wedding this past weekend. We can honestly say that the experience was wonderful. Our Party bus was amazing and super spacious. We received complimentary champagne and water. The woman who drove the bus was amazing and super helpful, getting me and my huge dress out of the bus!! She also took care of me right before I walked down the aisle! (I.E. closing the doors, fixing my dress, etc.) Couldn't have asked for better customer service. Thank you so much VEI! read more

We booked a limo with V.E.I. for a special day of Christmas activities in NYC (leaving and returning to Monmouth County) with our family. We had called a few companies and settled on V.E.I. because of pricing, flexibility, and friendliness on the phone. Our driver, Joe V. was on time and patient as we waited for everyone else to arrive. We had three girls under 7 in our group, and Joe was happy to oblige any minor changes (like bathroom breaks on the turnpike). He was friendly, and efficient, and probably tolerated a two year old yelling "hi" out the window to everyone she saw (in Midtown Manhattan), better than we did! He also had to contend with kids shrieking and lots of balloons, which he did with a smile and professionalism. We weren't sure how to make the TV work, but the LED lights entertained the kids. They also got a kick out of the water and soda that was provided. When we needed him to pick up, he was there, and communicated well how to find the car in situations where there were seasonal street closings (like Rockefeller Center). In our planned day we had 3 stops in NYC, and on the way home we asked for a last minute stop because we had a little extra time, and he was happy to oblige. The day was magical for the kids (and the adults as well), and having the car made it easier and extra special. Joe was great with our group, and did his best to move us efficiently through midtown (it's midtown Manhattan the week before Christmas- most traffic can't be avoided). I would recommend V.E.I. and Joe V. for a group day out like ours. read more

my wife uses a motorized scooter which was loaded in the rear for our trip to NY Cruise port. I had suggested the scooter be loaded first and the luggage on top. the driver said no the scooter would be loaded last. When we go to the port he opened the rear. The battery from the scooter fell out and broke. That's not the worst part in dealing with this company. After we came back I attempted to file a claim with the company. After a back an forth with the manager (owner) he said the company was not responsible and he would get in touch with the driver. The driver would have to pay me out of his own pocket. What a bunch of crap. Don't use them for if you ever had a claim for anything they don't want to recognize any responsibility. read more

I was in a wedding in December 2012 and the bride and groom booked 3 vehicles with VEI. She got a town car for bride and groom, limo bus for bridal party and a shuttle bus for guests. Both the town car and limo bus were filthy on outside. The sound system in limobus was broken and it was dusty on inside. No complaints, had a nice clean party bus for 10 people down to Atlantic City for the night. They helped us out big time when we were in a jam. We had a positive experience with VEI until the driver dropped us off at our last destination and charged us an extra $180. It was pouring rain and there were accidents on the parkway, so we went over 40 minutes. We were fine with paying the extra $90 ( we even offered to tip the driver some extra) but the driver demanded the full $180 even though we did not use an extra full hour. The groom and one of the groomsmen were arguing with the driver for atleast a half hour and then the driver said he would call the police if we didn't pay! We asked if he could simply bill us because we didn't have cash, and the driver refused. We asked to pay with a credit card and the driver refused. This is NOT what a bride and groom should be dealing with on their wedding day. The driver said he didn't care if we gave the company negative reviews, and they just wanted their money. Terrible driver and company. Got into an accident at 1am after a show. The driver not only didn't check to see if we were ok, but didn't call 911 for the other driver that was clearly hurt. They left us on the side of the road and said "we should find our own way home". Had to get a cab that cost $250.00 to get home and they still billed me! If I could give this company negative stars I would. The limo driver was not only late but completely incompetent. Being the best man at my sisters wedding in Brielle, New Jersey I was sick on the ride over from the hotel. In fact, the entire wedding party was. Multiple people were physically ill, including the bride, who was 40 Minutes late to her own wedding! The driver didn't even open the door or give the "red carpet treatment". He handed them a bottle of champagne out of the window and sped off. Secondly, the shuttle service that was transporting the rest of the guests from the hotel to the venue had no air conditioning. The guests arrived drenched and sick as well. My family was completely embarrassed. We then made a phone call and to make sure the shuttle at the conclusion of the wedding headed back to the hotel had air conditioning, they promised us not to worry and unfortunately yet again no air conditioning. It was a complete horror show and made the day extremely difficult from the start. They refused to return phone calls or get back to my father throughout the week. Finally, a phone call with only a $300 credit!!! As if I would ever use this company again. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! It will ruin your event. read more

I very rarely review anything, but I feel obligated to let the public know about the experience I had with this terrible company. My father and I hired them to take us to a concert in philadelphia 1 year ago today. The driver hung out in the parking lot with the car during the show and was going to bring us home afterwards. On the way home the driver fell asleep behind the wheel and smashed into another car, then drove off the road missing a street light by about a foot, then almost hitting a tree as we came slamming to a half in the middle of a U turn grassy patch. Obviously very startled we go out of the car and saw a man injured in his car. The driver was on the phone and we assumed he was calling 911 but was too busy calling back to V.E.I's office to even ask us if we were ok. Long story short the car was totaled and we had to call a taxi service to drive us back home. I understand mistakes happen, and accidents are a part of the driving business, but to still charge us full price was comical. I've never had a worse experience with any company in my life. read more

DO NOT use this company. I was in a wedding recently and we had a beyond horrible experience!! We had a large party bus that got lost on the way to drop off the men at the church and was subsequently late picking up the girls. We arrived late to the ceremony and in turn were 30 min late when arriving to the reception. The driver proceeded to advise the groom that he owed $150 b/c they ran over time. When it was brought up that we were only late due to her getting lost and causing the ceremony to start late, she became combative and argumentative. The owner of the company was contacted, he was one of the RUDEST people to ever deal with. I have no idea how this company is still in business if this is the way they talk to customers. The driver then advised that the owner told her to call the police if we didn't pay, which she did. For the bride and the groom who are trying to take pictures and enjoy what is supposed to be the best day of their lives, it was totally uncalled for to have to deal with the police (on a civil matter nonetheless) and the embarrassment while their guests began to arrive. Used this service for wedding this past weekend. Party bus and limo. Party bus didnt realize the parkway entrance was closed ( you would think they would check their routes) but the real issues began with the limo for the grooms family. The driver was RUDE he did not listen to instructions and groomsmen got there after guests began to arrive. he was supposed to come back for others but car broke down. Never got a call so we were standing out on the driveway for 20 minutes before we all piled into a honda coupe in tuxs and gowns to get to church. after ceremony car was fixed but driver had attitude. He was going too fast, we told him no rush...didnt listen AGAIN until he had to slam on brakes causing brides mother to FALL ON THE FLOOR!!!!!!! in her evening gown and all! Called on monday to office, they wanted to take $100 off for troubles.....its not about the money!!!!!
