I opted for a chocolate iced latte, which was frothy and smooth, not strong. I appreciated their extended flavor menu, with caramel, vanilla, hazelnut, salted caramel, butterscotch, chocolate cookie, and white chocolate. Many others ordered lunch and snack options, which all looked delicious. Tucked into a corner seat, this place is a great option for conversations, meetings, or getting some work and reading done. Will definitely return!

The staff are really friendly, give fantastic service , quick ,make good coffees and the place is very clean . I have never seen dirty tables uncleared for long here. On one instance they did take a while with our food order so a staff member came round apologised for the delay and offered us another beverage each on the house. That was a good gesture...instead of just leaving you sitting waiting. To apologise for a delay is good but to offer another complimentary drink is fantastic. They do have an area out back for the kids to play in as well. These guys should be the benchmark for all other Coffee Clubs to follow.

Buuuut for off duty coffee dates or more casual meetings it's definitely not cup of tea. It's too sterile. Uninspired even, lacking in personality or character. What's more their coffee is hit and miss - sometimes over extracted, sometimes under - which is suprising given they use Atomic beans, which are one of my faves. My recommendation? Keep this place in mind for suit 'n tie meetings otherwise don't bother.

It doesn't matter who makes the coffee here, everyone knows how to work that machine! The beans are atomic and each espresso I have had has been strong and rich in flavour, with the right amount of crema, never bitter and hot. Fantastic coffee! If you are pedantic about your coffee, this is a place to hunt down. You can access Sub Rosa from Quay Street without having to go through the PWC building too. The interiors are very nice and there are always plenty of Heralds available.

Always vote highly for a decent coffee place, such as woodside Cafe…read more It is really a surprising place to find in this suburb. I was this close to give up for a cup of coffee then Woodside was just by my side. Simplicity, stylish, neat. It is the kind of Cafe that you might have been to somewhere in the world, however, it possesses its own character for a kiwi touch, like bottles of flowers on each table, the Metro magazine put on the desk, the enthusiastic waitress who give right advice on your dessert paring the coffee. And of course, the perfect coffee! The latte coffee came in right warm temperature, great espresso shot with warm milk and froth ratio, it was so much soothing for a sip after a windy day walking. We followed the waitress advice ordering the ginger slice with sunflower seeds, not too sweet and a bit crunchiness really stranded out for its taste. Gluten free food is another highlight for this little cute Cafe. In Auckland and even in New Zealand, it is more and more handy for people to choose, which is a good sign of the food industry. Keep on with your attitude!

The counter is up one level from the main seating floor- and this is where you order from: they have a blackboard menu or counter ready made food. All well presented and with a good range. Lovely nice couple who own and work at the cafe, all feels quite laid back. You can sit outdoors also on a covered wooden deck in the warmer season which is great. If you work in Auckland CBD - rejoice!…read more I've been told it's quite onerous and stressing to be tasked with finding a spot for a business meeting or staff lunch. To be honest, I can't think of a better job! As one who doesn't normally work in the CBD, I can't help but feel quite smug as I cut through the corporate crowds on my day off from teaching. The purpose driven walk, the slick fitted suits..sometimes I miss the pulse of working in town. I was glad to have been tipped to look out for the ANZ tower with the revolving doors because one: I had a moment of panic when I realised I was on an involuntary digital detox after leaving my phone plugged in my room. Which means two: I couldn't even find the address through our best friend Mr G. And to make it worse, three: there were no signs whatsoever with the restaurant name. Lucky it has the name on the business directory on the wall. Onto level one, it's nice to eat at higher levels above the ground. Apart from the famous Orbit, there aren't really any places in Auckland that offers that. It's good for people watching. While waiting, we made guesses as to what was being made in the open kitchen. And by open kitchen, it was literally at the counter so you could see everything. Cute little balls - must be gnocchi. When the waiter came to take the orders, it turns out the gnocchi was paired with the fish of the day. It was a unanimous decision to order the day's special. I tell you, it was close to perfection. I don't usually like ordering fish for fear it'll turn out limp and papery but I ordered it for the love of gnocchi. You can imagine my joy when I found the swordfish to be so silky and smooth. Flavoursome with enough sauce to go around the salad and the fish, everything else was kept light to complement the gnocchi. Beside me, a lemon and blueberry pancake stash was being devoured. With such a generous dollop of coconut yoghurt, it looked like a dream. Mental note: must go back to try this. It turns out The Lunch Room is pretty much exclusive to the corporate crowds. Only open from 7am - 4pm Monday to Friday, there's no chance of catching it after work or for brunch in the weekend. "Nourishing. Fairtrade. Organic. Hand-picked. Locally-sourced."
