What's the point in having a primary care physician if you never see them? I think this is…read moreprobably my biggest gripe with Given. I've been going there for a number of years now and I think I have only seen my doctor twice. Is he even still there? Given Health Care is associated with Fletcher Allen Hospital so you definitely get that "too big for their britches" feel. There isn't a lot comfortable about the office - it's pretty standard but I'm usually there to seek medical advice, not evaluate the aesthetics of their reception area. That said, I have been quite pleased with the care I have received from Darla Witmer, RN. She is quite knowledgeable and respectful of whatever it is you might be dealing with. The location works well for me and, as mentioned, Darla is great, so for now, I will remain a patient of Given.

Pretty sure "carma" was a temp employee.. even if they weren't idk my experience has been great. NOWHERE near 1 star! I vote try it. It's a nice local spot and I've always had a comfortable back and forth with the doctors, nurses and staff overall for the past 4 years. TLDR: Nice people, local spot, runs like a typical drs office. I never wait long and the employees have always been kind and helpful towards me. seems to be talking about what I imagine to be a temp employee.

Wow, those old reviews are out of date! I have always been seen on time, cared for by friendly,…read moreefficient staff, and my presenting problems have been thoroughly evaluated, explained, and treated. Today was no different. I waited less than 5 minutes. Intake with assistant was thorough, professional and friendly. Xays were done on the spot. Ten minutes later pictures had been reviewed with doctors and treatment options were presented to me in detail. I have arthritis, and injured my knee (direct impact, knocked down by a 60 lb dog running fast straight at me, playing our chase game). I chose a cortisone shot, which was administered painlessly by Seth. (Although I was advised to expect relief in a few days, tonight the difference in stiffness and pain is remarkable.) Seth recommended exercises that would strengthen the supporting musculature around the knee, and said water aerobics is ideal. I left feeling very appreciative of and impressed by the care of this team and the efficiency of the office. That has remained constant for the past 15 years that I have been a patient here.

I am not happy with the associates in Orthopaedic Surgery in South Burlington, VT. I have waited,…read moreon several occasions, longer than an hour past my scheduled appointment. The nurse brought me into the examination room, only to leave me sitting for 15-30 more minutes by myself. The horrible part is the paper thin walls which allow for the conversation in the next room to reverberate in the room you are in. If they were talking about the injury of the other patient, that would be fine, but that is not what they were talking about-they were "shooting the breeze and talking about a recent move, etc. This went on for 20 minutes...After all of my wait, Dr. Kaplan spent less than 10 minutes with me, giving me no real answers or follow up appointment, only sending me away-returning to the other room with the patient he had been talking to before. I can't believe I had to pay a 20 co-pay for almost an hour and a half for an 8 minute doctor visit that gave me NOTHING. VERY DISAPPOINTED.
