If you have a copay , that's all you pay and if you have insurance where you have to pay a percentage of what your insurance doesn't pay you'll pay a lot less than you would at CVPH. The same labs that you'd have at CVPH would cost you triple the price than what BioReference charges so if you have to pay any out of pocket save money and go to BioReference on RT.3 , they are great and always get the blood on the first try unlike CVPH. CVPH is all about the money and over charges for the same exact labs and they can't even hit a vein at times. My wife has hard to get at veins but NO problems at BioReference always get it the first time. We are very much satisfied with BioReference Lab on Rt.3 why pay more and wait longer. I will never go to CVPH lab for anything again when I don't need to. (when I've gone to the lab associated with the hospital in the past they've had trouble finding a "good" vein and at one point I almost passed out from them trying different veins). The staff at BioReference is always pleasant and efficient. I went in to get a strep test because I'd been sick for several days and my roommate had a positive strep test. The first staff member was lovely, but the doctor who came in was extremely condescending. The strep test was negative and he kept repeating (like 4 or 5 times) that because it was negative he didn't see a reason to put me on antibiotics. I was like yeah, no shit, I don't want to be on antibiotics if I don't need them, but he was treating me like I was being drug seeking for antibiotics. I was wearing a mask because it said on the door to put one on if you had respiratory symptoms, so I wonder if he's just one of those doctors that doesn't like people that still wear masks when they're sick after covid (?) The part that actually really bothered me was when he asked me what medications I was taking, and I told him I'm on spironolactone for acne, and he pretty just much looked me up and down and told me well you should go on Accutane. I was trying to be polite, so I said I'd just started spironolactone and wanted to give it a shot. And he was like "Accutane would work wonders." I thought this was really unprofessional. I was there for an illness not cosmetic advice or unsolicited dermatology.

In my case, they unilaterally decided to perform a different scan on my body without informing me or my doctor due to this "discretion". Interestingly, they charged me for the more expensive scan that my doctors ordered while performing the less expensive scan of their choosing. No one ever informed me that they were not doing the scan I paid for and that the doctors ordered until I asked a simple question that uncovered this deceit. If you go here (desperation only), be very careful. Ask a lot of questions. Double check the procedure being performed by each practitioner and technician you come in contact with, and don't go if it doesn't match what your own doctor ordered.

I used the Big Bore MRI not the open MRI due to imaging requirements. I was somewhat fearful, my doc prescribed Valium for the procedure which helped. Everything about the procedure was very comfortable and I was able despite my fear of claustrophobia, to be comfortable throughout the procedure. Overall the time in the MRI machine went by quicker than expected. Highly recommend Vermont Open MRI. The staff is really wonderful and experienced with high anxiety people and make the experience low stress. Scheduling was prompt and easy, location easy to get to, and cost seems very reasonable in today's insane world. Highly recommended.
