Unfortunately they have closed their doors and they are missed I've been a returning customer since I was in my twenties and got my tongue piercing done here. I am now in my 50's and I was still going here with my children up until closing - staff was always friendly and the owner as well. read more

Incense, bongs and rude condescending clerks. That sums it up. Don't know what else to write that nobody before hasn't done already. read more

I always liked this store. It's like eye candy for me. From the stylish clothing , incense, swords, jewelry for piercings to intimate apparel and toys. I always find something here. The sword collection always change so if that is what your into keep going back or inquire about what you are looking for. The staff is very helpful. read more

Utopia - Knives - Lingerie Near Me - Centereach, New York

This is your one-stop alternative-needs shop; with items like "street wear" (no sneakers from what I remember, though plenty of boots of all types), body jewelry, incense/candles, minerals, statues, and swords/knives (of both decorative and functional variety). The store is segregated into two areas (really 3 if you include the piercing station) with the apparel and knickknacks in the front and age-restricted items in the back area. I believe one must be 18+ to shop in the Adult section and 21+ to shop in their vape & glassware area. The glass here is a sight to behold, and really if you're bored someday and love art glass it is worth making a trip just to see their displays. Two HUGE glass displays house their highest-end items (typically running from $250 all the way to $10,000) including a beautiful Hunter S Thompson art piece with multiple arms done in the style of a Hindu god. If you know glass artists, Utopia gets some of the best in the nation (and that means the best in the world currently) to ship their pieces out here. Spend some time ogling the glass and see what the newest trends are in this dynamic field. There are plenty of more affordable options here along the side-walls, and although there is a markup from what you'll find (price-wise) online, I find that being there in person and being able to see the "action" in a particular piece's function makes up for the difference. Service here is of the concierge-variety, since so many shoppers often have tons of questions and need assistance while browsing, so if the staff is busy I find it's much better to let them know I'm looking for help and just mill about until my turn comes. There have been a TON of advances in the field in just the past few years, so if you are looking to pick up an old hobby it would really be in your best interest to have a chat with the salespeople. In my experience, they are often willing to cut a small deal on glassware and accessories if you bundle purchases. The Adult section is a bit further back, and has a huge variety of lubes and oils for all your lubrication needs. No tasting station, so be sure to read your labels carefully! They also stock all sorts of adult favors for bachelorette/bachelor parties and such, as well as *ahem* assistive devices (including some that look like they belong in the Apple Store!) that may pair well with the aforementioned lubricants. Sometimes, I park next door in the CVS because there is a stoplight there but stopped doing it because just being patient also works... Be careful with your purchases because the return policy here is understandably pretty much non-existent. (Take it up with the manufacturer) read more

Not sure how I feel about this place anymore. Ever since I first started coming here the prices have increased immensely. I'm okay with the fact of the price going up if the products are worth it. I went in on October 24th and asked the lady at the counter multiple questions about the jewelry before I bought it and she told me specifically that the jewelry was surgical steel and would not tarnish. I am sitting here a month later with a tarnished belly button ring and extremely disappointed because I can't even return it now. I am unable to return it because I called and the lady told me they will not take any returns in jewelry like that because it happens over time and is normal. They should notify people everything about the products before selling it to people. read more

I have found heaven and its Utopia in Centereach. My Pax broke after 5 years and I needed a new Pax2 for my medicine, Medical Cannabis. The people couldn't be nicer, great selection and now that legalization is here, this store is on the cutting edge. What an inventory, what wonderful people who want to help and give you a special experience. I bought legal hemp flower high in CBD and intend to mix it with medical cannabis . One day perhaps a legal Cannabis Cafe, next to the adult "toys" section. Wow! Prices fair, selection great. read more

I was a semi regular in the late 90s, and wow how this store has gone downhill. They once had the best selection of rock and alt t-shorts and clothing. Now they're not worth going into. read more

It's crazy that people are saying the workers in the shop are rude! All of them are so nice and helpful! They even recognize me when I go in! They have an amazing selection in the glass section in the back and in the adult section! In the front main shop, everything is so COOL! It always surprises me what I can find here! From stickers, to statues, to safes, to t shirts and PLENTY more! I live this shop. The workers are so wonderful and helpful! If you get a chance, DEFINITELY check out this shop! It's AWESOME! read more

Bought an insanely cool jacket here only for it to not fit properly. Was told I could return it since it has a specific tag on it.. Walk in and am told this jacket that I spent $250 on cannot be returned. Not like they had other sizes in stock since this store is just a collection of mostly cringey trendy styles that nobody has worn since 2016.. Disappointed but not surprised. Don't really recommend unless you're looking for a dildo or overpriced rose quartz. read more

I've been shopping here since I was a kid and they had their other location. This was the spot for UFOS, unique posters, band tees, and incense. Since then a LOT has changed. (So have I) Now I only really shop in the glass section here, but Utopia, Long Island Glass, and Shakedown are my favorite spots for that. They have a huge selection of glass made right here on Long Island which is a huge selling point because supporting local artists is really important to me. The manager Squire is so helpful and knowledgeable. I always leave smiling !! If you need help, he's the guy to ask. Describe what you're looking for, and he'll have the perfect thing for you. Glad I have such an awesome store in my town. read more

There's a woman who EVERY TIME I come in here she ruins my whole day! She works the register and she is unbelievably RUDE. I come here for one thing and one thing only and I get treated terrible by her. You work in a head shop- Not a Gucci store. This isn't Rodeo drive ! Start treating your customers with respect. Talking down to your customers doesn't make you look "cool" it just makes you look unprofessional. I'm so done with this woman. Can someone else please help me?? I'm done being treated with bad customer service by this awful person!! read more

Great store. Awesome Grateful Dead merch. Great candles and stickers. Awesome employees. Very helpful.

Regardless of what the other reviews say the staff at Utopia was very helpful kind and professional. Everyone greeted me and said goodbye. I had a nice conversation with the manager while he rang me up for my items. I highly recommend you go in for any needs they have a wide variety of products. read more

I went in to browse around and see what cool stuff they had. The staff was very helpful. Jackie, Leigha, & Laura were especially helpful. They were patient, courteous, sweet, and kind. Answered all my questions and helped find what I was looking for. I would highly recommend shopping at the Centereach location if you would like great help and kind employees to help you with all your needs. 5 stars across the board. read more

It's obvious why there's no one in there huge store, these people are very rude! Especially the guy that works in the back, his sarcasm is disgusting. Stay away from this place! Super rude girl at the front but the guy working the smokeshop counter was super super nice so thanks for that. The girl looked me up and down twice with her arms crossed, and when I said I was just going to the smoke shop after she said hello with the BIGGEST attitude, she said "okay??" Like I was bothering her?? As I walked away appalled at her rude attitude, she said in a silly tone that I'll be carded. I don't know what crawled up her ass and died but if I see her again I'll be sure to leave another crappy review if I'm treated the same read more

low key the sickest head shop ever!! this place has anything and everything you need and like a museum full of amazing glass pieces (all for sale). The manager Christian was a super chill guy and VERY knowledgeable about everything. Go check this place out! read more

if i could give this place zero stars, i would. i've been here on multiple occasions to buy many of my facial jewelry piercings, along with many other products they sell. Come to my knowledge, they haven't had a piercer in months and refuse to sell any sort of jewelry without a licensed piercer. workers were rude and very degrading, i can see why so many of their stores closed! save yourself the trip, prices were insanely expensive; might as well go to metropolis down the street for better prices, friendlier staff and better quality merchandise. read more

Went to Utopia in Middle Country Road to purchase an item I was interested on. Squire recommended a particular one and assured me it was one of the best although expensive one. I end up purchasing it but it turned out it was broken within days. It just broke in my hand. I immediately went back to the store hoping it would be repaired or at least exchange, but the response of Chris, "manager" and his partner Squire was totally different from when I made my purchase. their attitude was rude, unprofessional and plain insulting. I have end up with a broken item unable to repair. I know I was ripped off because any respectable business would stand behind their merchandise and work with the customer in an amicable, fair and responsible way. I will not ever purchase Anything from then and NO, I do not recommend this store to anyone unless you want to be ripped off in the most shameful way. You will be treated as a total "idiot" if you ever go back with broken, useless, garbage merchandise even if purchased within days. Their response practically was " too bad" and go away!! Rip off plain and simple. If they want to stay they should learned manners, be honest and have some dignity. But after experiencing such a negative behavior I doubt these two even know what honesty mean. Centereach. read more

This store is full of nothing but RUDE employees!! They are unhelpful and so unwelcoming. I've never felt so unwelcomed into a store. And the prices are WAY to expensive, 64.99 for a raw jacket? Trust me I won't be going there ever again, much rather go to Gotham where they have better employees and better prices read more

I can't say a single bad thing about this place. Let's start with the store. HUGE!!! Great selection for whatever your looking for and quality merchandise. But what I really love about this place is the employees. So knowledgeable and ready to help and what I love most is that every is always in a great positive mood. Just makes a difference. I go about once a month for my vape needs and such. And they always remember who I am. I would never review a store but these guys deserve it. read more

Very disappointed with the service the woman walking in was super polite. The guy in the back was the problem I came in to buy a product. My mistake I bought the wrong product. I left the store and shortly after say 10 minutes I come back and explain I had bought the wrong thing and asked if he had the correct thing I was looking for and they didn't and he refused me a refund. I wish he would have told me all sales were final prior to me purchasing the product. He also Wasnt very helpful what so ever didn't know about any products I was talking about that they supplied read more

Purchased a nose ring for about $50 from this location in Centereach, had it inserted by a professional in the store. The top piece of the nose ring fell out so I came to the store to see if she would maybe give me a new nose ring but with zero customer service I will never be shopping here again! For the record I've been shopping at utopia both Hicksville and centereach for about about 15 years, better off buying jewelry from tattoo shops read more

On multiple trips with multiple sales associates the staff has been very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the different vaping questions I had. The new location is beautiful compared to the old one, and the selection of glassware is unparalleled with anyplace I have been locally. They have some artistic glassware, and they offer financing apparently. I would, and have, recommend this store to friends in the market for what they sell. read more

Great place, nice, very helpful staff and large selection of items for a super-wide range of prices.

I get there at 9:50 when they close at 10pm and the door was locked and then a guy comes out with other people and looks at me and another gentleman that pulled up and says we're closed when it's not even 10 yet...all I needed was cones read more

Went in for a small 16g hoop nose ring. $25 for this little piece of metal that I cannot even separate to put on. I did not get to hold it or put up to my face to even see if I would like it. I had my too small children with me that I was keeping from getting into anything and did not really pay attention to the price because I was there longer then I wanted to be already. There were also 7.00$ in taxes on $18.41. I definitely got dooped into paying 25$ for a tiny piece of shit that Is not what I wanted. I understand no refund but he wouldn't let me exchange at least for a couple studs. I am going to the other store to satisfy this since Centereach does not care. read more

On saturday, My daughter had her industrial bar pierced ,and the young lady who did it was very rude and cold. She didn't smile or greet us politely.l) She had no manners and would constantly say move instead of excuse me. She also refused to let me hold my own daughters hand during the procedure and made me stand outside waiting while my daughter went inside alone. I wanted to leave but my daughter and her friends was so excited so we stayed . She made my daughters experience very uncomfortable and being that I paid $65 I would think there would be better customer service. We were not satisfied . I would not recommend any mothers who want to assist their children who are trying to get a piercing to go here when she's around. I couldn't catch her name but she had short silver grey hair. read more

I went into store in centereach and the guy told me the colored glass bowl was 30 bucks but when I got home I noticed it had a sticker price of $15. When I called the store I spoke to another guy and he told me the color bowls go for 15 that I got. I then said why did I get charge 30 bucks. He didn't know. So my wife went into store to find out since she was going that way and he said thats the sticker on the bowl was wrong lol. I think he full of bologna. It seems like the guy was making prices up. He also never gave me a receipt and rushed me out. I felt very uncomfortable being pushed out. I was only in there looking at items for barley 2 minutes and place was dead so dont know why I was being pressured to hurry up. It wasn't like they were closing. I felt like I was being ripped off since sticker price was 15. I wont be gong back there. I figured I would give this place a try since its local and I do understand they will be slightly more money but for me I will just stick online site that I go to that is very reliability site. So beware they can make random prices up. Not really into dealing with sales person when buying bowls and stuff. read more

My friend and I went to Utopia Saturday Sept. 19, 2015. The store it self is really nice, big and the smoke shop area is amazing. Now that's talk about the staff. We were there for 20 minutes waiting for someone to help us. There was a gentleman talking with couple (the entire time) finally a girl came in the back and helped another gentleman who came in just before she came in the back. I walked over to the counter where she was assisting him and waited after she was done with the gentleman (by the way she saw me standing there waiting) she walked around the back of the store and disappeared thru a door (later realize the door lead to the front of the store) a few minutes went by when another girl came thru the door. I asked her if she worked here and she informed me she did and when I asked her to help us was told with and attitude I may add that she didn't work back here. When I asked her to get someone who could help us she was annoyed and went back thru the door. After waiting another 5 minutes we left. As we were leaving the girl behind the front counter (not the ones we had seen earlier) told us to have a nice day. We left and went to East West in Farmingville. I will never do business with Utopia again read more
