You call the phone it rings and rings and rings. After calling three times straight someone FINALLY picks up, but they don't say hello, (I'm thinking did someone pick up or am I at voicemail?) so after like 5 seconds a woman practicality screams into the phone HEEELLLLLOOOO?! All loud and ghetto... like huh? I was rendered momentary speechless. Like who answers their business phone like that? First you don't answer the phone, then when you do answer the phone, you don't say anything, and then when you do say something you yell into it because the person on the other side didn't say anything. Like who does that? So, I gather myself and ask to make an appointment, the lady was like I'm doing someone's head, call later and hangs up... Bish wha? If that's the case hire a receptionist or something. F this place. I'm going to ask Groupon customer support Center if I can get a refund or some type of credit. This place is a blood joke. I have grown to dislike natural hair salons. I'm going to go in person to make an appointment because calling the phone doesn't work. **** Quick update I have posted a picture of their salon and I says for sale! WTH?! I left work early for this?! The place is a joke. I immediately called Groupon and told them my situation, they understand and refunded Groupon credits of the amount I paid. Also this shop still has a Groupon up on the website. They are stealing ppls money! SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE AND DON'T BUY THE GROUPON DEAL!!

Leny did my hair both times and she did a most wonderful job. I can tell they use quality hair products as my hair was smelled so good and was bouncy for days. I would love to go here more frequently but it's more expensive than what I'm use to paying at similar salons. A wash and set here runs me about $60 (before tip) while at other nearby places, they change $35-40 for the same service. I'm not knocking them and I totally understand that they probably charge more because they use better products but it's just not affordable for me to get my hair done here consistently even though I would like to. Nonetheless, they're work is wonderful.

**BEWARE OF KNM African Natural Hair Braiding. This was one of the most unprofessional experiences…read moreI've ever had at a hair salon.** I would strongly recommend that anyone thinking about booking with this business get the final price in writing and confirm it before wasting your time traveling there.Based on my experience, the price you are quoted may not be the price you're expected to pay when you arrive. The day before my appointment, I texted the owner several reference photos of the exact hairstyle I wanted. It was my natural hair only . no extensions, no added hair, braided neatly to wear under a wig. I asked for the price, and the owner quoted me $40.To avoid any confusion, I asked TWICE , and she confirmed $40 both times.I even have the text messages to prove it. I made the appointment for 1:00 p.m. and traveled over an hour by bus based on the price the owner gave me. The moment I sat down with the braider and mentioned the $40 quote, she immediately looked confused and said there was no way that style should cost $40. I showed her my text messages with the owner. The braider wasn't the issue at all she was mostly professional and was simply trying to understand why the owner had quoted a price that didn't make sense. When the owner finally got on the phone, instead of apologizing for her mistake, she immediately became rude, argumentative, and accusatory. She actually asked me why I thought the style would only cost $40 and said, "You knew what you were doing." **Excuse me?** **I DIDN'T make up the price. YOU did.** I asked you for a quote. **Twice.** You confirmed **$40 twice.** I didn't negotiate. I didn't pressure you. I simply accepted the price **you** gave me. Then the excuses started. She claimed she thought I was only asking for the cost of parting my hair. That explanation makes absolutely no sense because my very first message included multiple photos of the hairstyle, and I specifically told her I wanted my natural hair braided like the pictures to wear under my wig. She even asked if I was going to braid it myself. After I explained that I wanted it done to wear under my wig, she replied again that the price was **$40.** She later admitted she may have been tired or at work and didn't read the messages carefully. That's not my responsibility. As a business owner, it is your responsibility to read customer messages before quoting prices. Customers should not have to pay for your mistakes after they've rearranged their schedule and traveled over an hour to your business. The most disappointing part wasn't even the incorrect quote ,it was the complete lack of accountability. There was no genuine apology. Instead, I was blamed for believing the price that the owner herself quoted. Again, I want to be clear that the braider who was supposed to do my hair was mostly respectful and professional. My complaint is entirely about the owner and how she conducts business. If this happened to me, I can't help but wonder how many other customers have experienced something similar. !!!!!Save yourself the frustration. Confirm every detail before you leave your house, screenshot every conversation, and don't assume the price you're quoted will be honored when you arrive. I will never return, and I cannot recommend KNM African Natural Hair Braiding based on my experience.

I explained to the beautician that I wanted a wash and set (which includes rollers and sitting under the drier). The beautician (didn't get her name but she's short with shoulder length blond brownish hair -you can't miss her) speeds through the wash with adding a bucket of water to each of my ears than actually washing my hair. Someone needs to train her how to wash hair and not ears. Anyway, after the ear wash I sit in her chair and she tells me that she has to wet blow my hair because it's getting late. I said no I don't want a wet blow because too much heat and blowing thins out your hair. I asked for rollers and to sit under the dryer. She then catches an attitude and says "ok I'm going to put big rollers because we're about to close". I then said to her if you knew when I walked in at 6pm that you would not be able to provide the service I requested you should have said so and I would have taken my business else where. Don't agree to it just to get the money then switch it up last minute just because you're about to close. It doesn't work that way! I waked in at 6pm, you said your last customer is at 6:30pm.
