This is without doubt one of the best places to stop when skiing in the Dolomites. It is a rustic, stylish and welcoming mountain hut on the Pralongia plateau above Corvara. The whole building is made from wood, both inside and out and it has real character. The don't have menus and don't serve a huge selection of food but everything that they do serve is amazing. Particularly worth mentioning are the Ribs and fries (which must have MSG on them as they are amazing) and the cracking range of pastas they do, most notably the Putanesca with olives, garlic and anchovies. The service is good if a little slow when ordering and paying but it is worth waiting for for what is on offer. For the wine snobs there is even a little wine tasting hut outside which has a good selection of drinks. Try the Prosecco here as it's really good. Oh yeah and the terrace outside is amazing on a sunny day as they tend to play chilled out café music and you can just loose yourself in a drink and the view. read more
