The New International Limo - Mercedes V Class 7 pax & bags

The New International Limo in Venice was the perfect conclusion to our beautiful time in this…read morelovely city. I'd like to preface with sharing our start in Venice...what appeared to be a quick jump on a people mover and 170 meter walk from Piazelle Roma on Google Maps was totally incorrect. It became over 700 meters with at least 8-10 footbridges! Thankfully we are both fully mobile and could manage our heavy luggage but it is a sore memory and still sore arms 4 days later that we hope our review spares other visitors. New International Limo set up a Water Taxi for our return to catch our train that delivered us directly from just near our hotel to Piazelle Roma and our awaiting chauffeur Gabrielle. Gabrielle quickly grabbed our bags from the Water Taxi and whisked us to the beautiful black Mercedes van awaiting. It was clean and new. Gabrielle delivered us safely to the train station for the next leg of our adventure safely and with no stress. My lesson learned is three-fold. Don't trust google maps in countries outside the US and Canada until after you are settled and have an idea of exactly where you or hire an expert like The New Inetrnational Limo. Venice is lovely and beautiful but not meant for anyone elderly or overweight with mobility or health issues. It is worth every penny to call The New International Limo from the beginning to end of any visit in Italy. They are experts and can handle everything from your water taxis to car services to your trains and lodging. We also learned they offer amazing tours and wished our stay was not so short. When we return Marina Brugaro and her team will be our very first call or email.

We stayed here two night of our 16 night Europe tour with Globus of 44 people.. This is in a cute…read moreski town and fun to look around even though we were there in May. The mountains around the town make it very lovely and we enjoyed our stay. The female owner makes this hotel special .. she's so friendly and charming .. and does everything with flare. Dinner entrees were served under silver domes and the unveiling was coordinated for effect. Over all the food on this tour was very disappointing but this was by far one of the better meals included. This Hotel dates back to 1826 as the oldest in town. The decor and woodworking is gorgeous though you do have to watch out for splinters .. so don't shuffle your feet. The doors have real keys with the heaviest key-fabs you've ever seen and some of the door ways are so dark you would find a flashlight helpful. I thought the town, hotel and our room were very cute. Loved having a balcony to go out on with a view. The beds were super firm .. all the beds in Europe have been FIRM which wasn't my comfort preference but must be a Europe thing. the free internet was slow and spotty but enough to check in with family. We had a do not disturb sign on the door but the staff entered anyway .. to clean the room .. close the shudders etc. Didn't like they came in though we put the do not disturb sign .. but noting was stolen or seemed out of place. There is no AC or Fans .. so we were a bit too warm ... thankfully it was spring not summer. As with many in Europe they did not provide hair conditioner which is standard in areas. Even though there were a few things wrong .. the owner was so funny and charming .. we loved her and our stay. When we were leaving she got in the road and stopped traffic for all our group to cross. Now that is service!!!!!

This hotel is central to most of the daytime and nighttime activity of this ski resort…read more The hotel is plush with tapestry and molded, gilded wood architecture throughout the hotel lobby and rooms. The cafe over looks the main thoroughfare corso italia. You can sit and sip a beverage in the outside portion and people watch. The food is excellent is all three of the eateries.

We booked this hotel for a steal, 90€ for two nights, we liked it so much we extended it for more…read morenight for 69€. We stayed out of season, end of April. The parking is 10€ per day on outdoor parking or 15€ for garage. Rooms: Even though the furniture in the rooms is a bit old, e.g.the night stand has an old school radio, they are well maintained and really clean. The tv in the room is really small, but there is a great view on the balcony to overcome this issue. When we got to the room, the fridge was not working, and it was fixed quickly after we notified the front desk. There is a safe in the room which requires a key, it does not come standard in the package. Nearby Activites: You can bike to Malcesine, take the ferry to Limone, and bike around there. There is a great path leading north that goes across the lake. The view is amazing, just be aware you are sharing the path with pedestrians. Walkability: You can walk to nearby restaurants and a grocery store. For most stuff I would suggest you get bikes (you can get them for free from the hotel, first come first serve basis). Food and drinks: Breakfast is included in the price, served from 7.00 to 9.30. It was one of the better hotel breakfasts I had. Good coffee, sparkling wine, a ton of mini sandwiches, fresh fruit, veggies (cooked tomatoes, eggplants...) a large selection of breads, chocolate/cream/pistachios croissant + a whole bunch of other sweets, cheeses, cold cuts, eggs, sausages, bacon...

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Drago for a week when we were in the Lake Garda region on a culinary…read moretour and our tour was based at the hotel. The Hotel Drago is right on the Lake and our room had a beautiful view but since the main road runs right next to the Hotel the noise level was pretty high during the day; however, at night traffic decreased and it didn't bother our sleep. The hotel was comfortable but the food was mediocre and the staff was a little grumpy at times. Most of the guests appeared to speak German and the Hotel seemed oriented toward German speakers. Most of the staff did not speak English particularly fluently but communication was possible. The Hotel itself is a bit dated but everything is in reasonably good repair. Although I have stayed in more modern and luxurious hotels in Italy, I would not hesitate to stay in the Hotel Drago again if I were ever back in the Lake Garda region.
