This was such a fun date experience! UTA held a Valentine's Day themed show called "romancing under the stars". They decorated the lobby with rose petals, complimentary sparking grape juice, and a Valentine's themed photo booth. They also had roses to give out. Tickets were $10 each and were bought at the door. Our guide was incredible! He was funny, entertaining, and informative! All a great mix for a fun night! He mainly talked about the constellations (the name of the show gives it away). He told us the stories behind the constellations and also told us some information about some of the planets. They have several shows throughout the week and weekend. The planetarium is family friendly, this specific show was mainly for couples (adults). Definitely a fun experience, I'll surely visit again and take my friends and family. There's a nearby parking garage.

I have been a fan since I was in middle school and they had a very large collection that was well curated. Why three stars then? The actual atmosphere of the museum sucks. It takes up half of what used to be the exhibition hall at the Old Arlington convention center. And it looks like it. It also sounds like it. When we were here the other half of the area was being used for the Smurfs experience. Which I totally support and there were lots of young people having a blast. And you could hear all of them. A long with sounds from their experience. I love museums, but they have a certain type of atmosphere for a reason. They were in the old JC Penny building in downtown Arlington for ages. It was old and rather worn, but it didn't feel like you were in a convention hall, I preferred it. Also, parking is $10. Didn't see that on their website, and it would be helpful when you were looking up the location that they mention they are inside the esports arena or the old convention center. It isn't obvious.

Found out the Sid Richardson Foundation ensures admission to this wonderful museum is always free. I didn't know that as I thought there was an entrance fee. Wow! Even though I wasn't particulary "dressed" for such a nice museum, the lady working the front desk made me feel very welcomed as if I was a regular contributing patron. As I perused the exhibits, one of the docents answered all the questions I had concerning the art work. Damn, all those years I worked and walked downtown and I never visited this museum. Talk about lost time! PLEASE VISIT THIS MUSEUM!! You won't regret it. I will definitely come back.

While standing briefly near the doors, I was asked to move, which created an uninviting and uncomfortable first impression. The entrance of a museum sets the tone for who feels welcome inside. Being treated as though simply standing near the doors was a problem sends a discouraging message--not just to me, but to anyone considering whether they belong there. For a downtown museum meant to be accessible to the public, this approach risks turning people away before they ever step inside. Museums thrive when they invite curiosity and community. This experience did the opposite.

The office said they didn't receive the approval so I emailed my copy of it not just once but twice. There was no response after sending the approval so I called & emailed several times afterwards. His office said they were on a "much needed vacation" & would get back to me upon return. I followed up again multiple times after they came back from vacation but then was told they were going through their stack of files to catch up & would get back to me when they got to mine. I still never heard back from the Dr or his team. I continued to followup but they never responded so I finally gave up & am going to a different specialist. Long story short, this Dr & his team either forgot about me or decided they weren't going to make enough money off the insurance for the surgery. It's completely unacceptable for a Physician to forget about his patient in pain & need.

He didn't tell me "oh there were complications and I had to do it open." No he told me he could have tried it but he can see better with open! What!!??? So because he can't get with the times, his patients have to suffer? It took me 6 months to get to a point where I felt my surgery pain was gone because of that open surgery decision. However that wasn't the worst part. He knew I was taking high doses of pain killers and had been for quite a few years. I never even thought to discuss it with him because I put my life in his hands. He is supposed to be the professional. I woke up from surgery and all I can remember is saying "help me!!" And I was screaming. I am not the type to scream. It turns out he was giving me less pain killer than what I was taking before surgery!! The nurses said they couldn't give me more, that I had to talk to the doctor. He comes to me and I'm in shock at this point and he says "this is not my area of expertise. I don't want to give you too much of something. I hope you feel better soon." and he left!! I couldn't believe it! I could feel like I was going to pass out and I did only to wake up a few minutes later in the same condition. I was like that for 2 days. It was horrible. It felt Like a lifetime. I was in shock and trying to do my best to stare at the tiles on the ceiling and meditate because that is all ai could think of to help me get through it. He finally came to me and said he was getting his "partner" to come look at me as a favor. She was a pain specialist. Thinking back all I can say is "why didn't he do that sooner?" She came and ordered Fentanyl and I had immediate relief. She ordered that and something else for breakthrough pain. Finally I felt like myself. The nurses couldn't believe the difference. I was a happy person. They hadn't seen that side of me before. However, there is one more thing that Dr. Bianco did to me that should be a warning to those reading this. I woke up from surgery with my legs and feet numb and tingling and hurting from the knees down. I would later learn that it was called peripheral neuropathy. I didn't have a leg problem when I went in for surgery. I can prove that with all records. When I asked Dr. Bianco why my legs felt like this he first tried to avoid the question. Then he shrugged and said "I could have cut a nerve but they should go back to normal in a few days. That was in 2013 and they are still the same now in 2019. I am in a wheelchair because of it. I can only walk short distances. Maybe 20 feet before my legs or my back will start to hurt very very bad. No amount of PT can fix this. He did something to me while in surgery for this to happen because I now have arachnoiditis. It's a permanent incurable spine disorder caused by several things one being back surgery or some kind of accidental injury to the arachnoid lining of the spinal canal. I think he accidentally punctured my spine and didn't admit it. Nothing can be done about me but I hope by writing this review I have stopped him from injuring someone else.
