This place won us over the moment we arrived with free baked potatoes when you sit down. From the start, the experience feels thoughtful and generous. Food comes out at a very reasonable pace, usually within 15-25 minutes, which is completely normal for meat dishes. While you wait, they keep you engaged with more 'ikram' -complimentary small bites- which makes the wait feel even shorter.
The ambiance is quiet and upscale. There's no music, just the natural sounds of plates, cutlery, and people chatting. I didn't realize how much I missed that kind of atmosphere until experiencing it here.
Even though it gets busy during dinner, especially in ski season, the restaurant is well staffed. One of the owners is actively involved, checking on tables and making sure everything is running smoothly, which really shows.
We ordered the 'bonfile', 'lokum', and 'beyti', and loved all of them, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Portion sizes are normal by Turkish standards, but I'd recommend not ordering 1.5 or double portions. With all the 'ikram', you'll definitely be full.
At the end of the meal, they truly go above and beyond: popcorn, roasted 'kestane' cooked on a stove in the middle of the restaurant, and a fresh fruit plate are all served complimentary. Even the small details stand out, the wet wipes and toothpicks they provide are clearly high-end, which says a lot about their attention to quality.
All of this high-end service, food quality, and generous 'ikram' does come with a price. It's a bit more expensive than average, but absolutely worth it for the experience.
We discovered this place last year and said, "We are definitely coming back." We did, and we're already planning to return again next year. This place absolutely deserves 5 stars, and it gets them. read more
