One of my friends recommended to eat iskender kebap in Kayseri. We were walking around the castle area and a pastrami shop recommended to have the iskender at the Elmacioglu. We all had the Elmacioglu iskender which is different than the regular one by having egg plant and inegol meatball. It was a quality one and we were all satisfied with it. But it was not so different than any other quality iskender you can have in other cities.
We also had ezme salat to share. It was different than the eastern style with more tomato flavor. But it was certainly good.
We had iskender ayran (yogurt drink). Goat yogurt made the taste different than the regular ayrans.
Employees were helpful, but not cheerful and looked tired at around the noon time. read more
