He must have been tired because he threw all my packages to my door. Apparently he couldn't be bothered to walk the extra 3-4 feet, lean forward, and place them on my porch. Most irritating was my third package, that he literally THREW from the sidewalk, despite the fact that it had large red "fragile" stickers on literally every side of the box. Really pissed me off. I understand being tired. It was almost 8pm, he probably had a long day. But how about some common courtesy? How about next time just put it off until the next day? What would he have to say if he watched this happen to one of his packages? I bet he'd feel some type of way. It's all on video too. The next day I went to three locations to make a complaint. When I got to the third location (Wabash), which was the correct location to make the complaint, the supervisor couldn't be bothered to walk out and speak with me at the counter. Instead she had the employee give me a sticky note with her email address. After my third email to her, I finally got a half-a$$ response. Smh. Tried to post video for you guys (it's really something to see), but yelp doesn't allow video. So here is a screenshot of him throwing my FRAGILE package. Damn shame, huh? Made a formal complaint with USPS, but never heard back about that.

And apparently the drivers aren't allowed to contact me when they bring my package so that I can help them to avoid nonexistent "animal interference" in addition to that it took me 8 phone calls and over an hour of my time to learn this small piece of information. This is the second day IN A ROW. That this has happened. And apparently picking up the package from the facility isn't an option because the drivers (whom I can't call) have it. So I recommend using a REPUTABLE establishment...not a joke like this one, one star is overly generous. I just got an update from amazon informing me that the package that is currently about 10 miles from my house will take a week to get here; even if they walked here it wouldn't take that long. I am disabled and unfortunately I have to rely on institutions like this that clearly have no respect for the handicapped, I am considering contacting the ADA because this negligent behavior could have been a real problem if I had tried to send medical supplies I'd probably be dead by now. I could have rolled there in my wheelchair in less time than it would have taken them to drive here.

He needed some stock and so we had 5 boxes of merchandise shipped via UPS to the Post Office in Mt. Pleasant. We have NEVER had an issue like the one we had today. Wally went in to pick up his boxes and Albert (the head clerk) extorted $110.15 out of him for USPS fees because we did not send them that way. Wally had picked up a box sent via UPS from there 2 days before with no charge, so why a charge today? I spoke with a nice gentleman at UPS in Burlington and he told me that there should never be a "pick-up" charge at the post office for UPS parcels because they pay to have USPS deliver packages for them from time to time. This is a black eye on an institution that already has problems, without adding a power trip from the clerk to them. Also, the post master came from the back during a heated discussion over this to reinforce the extortion amount. My father paid, because he needed his boxes, but I am going to dispute it with our credit card company. Anyway, after reading the google reviews (and leaving one of my own) for this post office I can see that the customer service there is an ongoing problem.

There was a guy sleeping in the lobby by the PO Boxes. Bless his heart. He's there often, I was told. The next day I got my stamps and they were nice enough to hand cancel them for me, so they were postmarked Hannibal instead of St. Louis.

Now that my fingers hurt from writing (who *writes* these days?), I need stamps. This post office was easy to locate and they have a free parking lot as well as space along the street. Parked and went inside. The clerk was pleasant but had to go in the back to get 20 post card stamps. I guess people don't send many postcards these days from a city that is heavily reliant on tourists? Stamps applied and they have a drop slot inside. There is also one outside. The delivery person was irritable and didn't want to exert to deliver, so they immediately gave up and help my package up at the post office. I was unable to arrange to get there, so I never got my package due to lazy people. Avoid this like the plague.
