Had to drop off a package to ship to FL. I was assisted by Cheryl. She was so kind and sweet. I know that job has got to be trying some times and I have dealt with my fair share of rude people at the post office. Really happy I chose to come to this location and that Cheryl was on duty. I came around 12:45pm on a Friday and there was maybe a 5 minute wait in line.

So I am unsure how this happened, but in all my years of living in Charlotte, I never realized…read morethere was a US Post Office in Park Rd Shopping Center. One of those: "hide in plain sight" type deals, but I really needed to mail a package that wouldn't fit in the package drop box so I saw they were open from 9am-1pm on Saturdays. I made it around 8:45am.... and these guys any seconds earlier than 9am... so much so that I was the first in a line of 4 people by the time the doors opened. Luckily I just had to drop off cause I purchased and printed my stamp the night before and just had to drop it at the desk. You could tell the 3 people behind me were already annoyed they were already in a line..... hopefully it wasn't a bad thing. It only took me a second to drop the package and walk out the door so hopefully I was the "perfect" customer for them that day. There's a large entrance area with PO Boxes and an automated kiosk in the lobby, unfortunately the package drop was just not the right size for me this time around. Since they had just opened, place was pretty clean and tidy.... I've seen other locations looking like a tornado when through there, but I'm sure this one is so tiny it's really easy for upkeep. Parking is next to the Harris Teeter so the parking lot is super busy here. Just don't get run over trying to find a place in line here ;)

I stopped by the United States Post Office on a weekend because I needed to ship a package…read more According to the USPS website, this location listed self-service kiosks available in the lobby, which in many cities (including where I lived in the Bay Area) are often accessible even when the main counter is closed. Unfortunately, when I arrived the lobby was locked and I wasn't able to access the kiosk at all. That was pretty disappointing since I specifically came here expecting the self-service option to be available. One challenge with USPS locations is that calling ahead isn't very helpful--the phone system usually routes you to a general 800 number rather than the local branch. The shopping center itself is convenient with plenty of parking, so getting there isn't difficult. Insider tip: If you're planning to ship something here on the weekend, double-check access hours for the lobby or have a backup shipping plan just in case the self-service kiosks aren't available. As someone still navigating Charlotte after moving from the Bay Area, I'm learning that availability can vary by location, so planning ahead helps.

This is my go-to local post office, and for everyday mailing needs, it really checks all the boxes…read more Parking is easy, the location is convenient, and the facility feels clean, well-lit, and safe--which matters when you're running errands on a tight schedule. One of the biggest highlights for me is the self-service postal kiosk (that do-it-yourself machine that weighs your package, calculates the postage, and prints the label right there). It's incredibly easy to use and, best of all, it lets you skip standing in line like cattle. That alone makes this location worth visiting. They also have drive-through mailboxes, which is another huge convenience. You can drop off letters without even getting out of your car--perfect for quick stops when you're on the go. On the occasions when I've needed full-service help--like sending certified mail--the wait hasn't been bad, and the staff has been friendly and helpful. That makes a difference. My one wish: It would be great if they added another self-service option to purchase Forever stamps without having to stand in line. That would make this place just about perfect. Bottom line: Convenient, efficient, and staffed by friendly people. If you're looking for a reliable neighborhood post office with easy parking and modern self-service options, this is a solid choice.

Wow they are SO unbelievably rude in this place! I wasn't gonna leave a review because you never…read moreknow when someone is having a bad day, but after a second instance of blatant hostility I had to share this experience. I run a small business and ship all my items with stamps to save shipping costs. Both times all I needed were stamps and both times the employees were so snarky to me for no reason. I asked if they could weigh the envelope and let me know if it was too heavy for one stamp to which the lady behind the counter thought it was a good idea to just bend the envelope completely?? She snarled something about it needing a special stamp. A few people have told me before that because the envelopes aren't completely flat, they would recommend a special stamp, but I haven't run into any issues shipping the way I do. I repeated my original question about the weight and she just handed the envelope back to me without weighing it. So yeah i'm not coming back here again! I just moved to CLT too..talk about a warm welcome.
