My expectations were surpassed by the quality of workmanship and dedication each member of there crew's performance. The attention to detail was amazing. From covering my inground pool with plastic sheet to prevent possible cement falling to the bottom, covering the house with plastic sheet to prevent cement splash from hitting my siding to covering the base of my 6 x6 upper deck support beams with tar based post sleeves. Most importantly, I took down two sections of fence so equipment would be able to access my back yard. I went outside to dig a hole for a new fence post that needed replacing. As I began to dig, one of the workers, on his lunch break, came to me and volunteered to dig the hole for me. These are workers that take pride in there job and are happy to be working for this company. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner and his wife and completely understand why this is such a successful company. Please give them a try on your next project.

The original slate walkway was still there and was in desperate need of replacement. After talking to a neighbor and admiring her new walkway, we discovered Mark Holmes of Budget Brick and Stone. We had spoken with a few different companies already, but Mark seemed the most knowledgeable, reasonably priced, and his work was beautiful, as evidenced by the photos he showed us as well as seeing what he had done at the neighbor's. We signed him up! After a slight delay in starting the project, Mark faithfully showed up every day, Monday through Friday. He's a bit of a late starter, shows up in the late morning, so you don't have to worry about noisy construction work in the wee hours. He takes his time but does quality work. I have to comment that he even showed up on those 99 degree days we were having, and worked a good 7 hours in that heat. Project completed and it looks gorgeous. Don't let the title of his business fool you, because it's definitely NOT "budget" in terms of quality and workmanship.

He took over an hour to measure everything and sent me the lumber quote he received so that I was fully informed, then we talked labor. He would point out problematic areas (like rotting framing) and would ask me if I wanted to have it replaced rather than just covering it up with the new surface. He did an amazing job that had my mom's tenants and the neighbors complementing the work and I felt the price was very reasonable. Based on that job, I brought him out to take a look at my townhouse to possibly replace the siding and he suggested sanding, priming and painting instead due to the price of replacement. They sanded almost every square inch of it, primed it (in some areas twice) with a peeling paint primer that is like glue to fill in gaps and keep the rest of the old paint from peeling, and then put a double coat over everything. When they finished, I was surprised to find that they had power washed our patio, porch, and front half-height fence and even painted the fence though we never talked about doing any of that work. I felt compelled to pay him extra. Deck Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wELQYf0YGKY
