I know this review will be irrelevant to 99.999999% of yelpers out there but still wanted to pass along some 5-star props to USATF (or United States Track and Field).
As the governing body for track in the USA, these are the same peeps responsible for our Olympic teams. To help coaches of all levels, they conduct weekend-long certification classes so we can be better prepared for our athletes as they progress in this sport.
While I only coach 11 and 12 yo's, was still spoken to and respected by "a fellow coach" who works with world class athletes at the Olympic Training Center. That's right we are all coaches and all equals here including those Olympic medalists who were part of my class.
At the end of the 22 hour class you need to take a 200 question exam to become certified as a "Level 1 Coach" and they even offer to assist you with any clarifications you may have during this process.
So if you have an interest in being a coach, or just to learn more about track, there isn't anything better out there! read more
