She proposed bilateral iliac stents in her little office suite. But, I would have tp pay out of pocket because she has rent to pay. This sounded fishy to me, so I sought a second opinion, and professional ultrasounds. My iliacs are wide open and my DVT is beyond salvage. The communication here is disorganized at best, negligent at worst. After multiple calls about a prescription that was never sent to the pharmacy, I finally discovered the wrong medication had been submitted entirely. In cardiology, where medication errors can have life-threatening consequences, this is a massive red flag. The lack of urgency or concern from staff made it even worse--no one seemed to care. We were told that a CT scan was "urgent," yet the imaging center attempted multiple times to get clinical notes from the provider's office and received nothing. I personally called to request the notes and never got them. Eventually, I had to take time off work to physically go to the office just to get the documentation--two weeks after being told this was time-sensitive. By the time the imaging center got what they needed, services were denied by insurance. Even then, I was told the provider's office would send an appeal. Every time I called to follow up, the staff sounded annoyed and uninterested, eventually telling me, "If it's that urgent, you can call insurance yourself." That level of disregard is unacceptable, especially from a cardiology practice. The entire process has been a constant runaround with no accountability. Cardiology is a delicate and critical field, and it should be treated with the utmost care. Sadly, my experience showed the exact opposite.

I had the venous ablative procedure on both legs. The echo was very comprehensive. The laser…read moreprocedure was fine for the superior (upper) veins of both legs. Minimal pain and very efficient. He also did laser on a crossover vein in the right inferior. I was told that the inferior veins would be foam. The failure rate of foam is about 30%. Laser is only 5%. I wanted laser and told the technician. I also checked with the front desk. I was scheduled for laser. I confirmed this when I checked in for the procedure, and was told it was to be foam. Foam takes about 5 minutes. Laser about 15 minutes. The waiting room was packed, and Dr Pessin said he could not do laser for fear of nerve damage. (I personally think it was his packed schedule.) I succumbed and he did foam. (He was the expert) It has now been three weeks, and I still have pain from the foam in two spots. I checked the internet when I got home (yikes) and there was no medical reason that I could find that would have mandated foam. I decided to skip any other procedures for this condition, so the right inferior vein remains untreated.

Eight weeks later, I went back to complete under my bra area and mid-back. Going into it, I was honestly terrified because I'm not a fan of pain at all. But from the moment I walked in, Dr. Hall and his entire staff made me feel completely comfortable and at ease. During the procedure, I was shocked I literally felt no pain. Afterward, I went home, rested, and still had no pain just soreness. The next day was just mild soreness, easily managed with Tylenol. I was already up, walking around, and even working on my computer while following all post-op instructions. This has truly been an incredible experience. I can't speak for anyone else, but I can confidently say that Dr. Hall delivers on what he promises. When he says it's very minimal pain, he means it.
