So far so good. I can only comment on the initial consultation, ultrasound and few EVLT treatments…read more I have been putting off fixing my varicose veins for a decade (thanks hereditary). Any hoo, I searched around and found a few doctors. Then I double check three top doctors in the East Valley with someone who used to do these Ultrasounds. She hands down recommended Dr. Favata. She even told me that the Dr. had fixed her mom's botched attempt at fixing her varicose veins. I cancelled my other consultations and booked with VIP. I didn't even realize how close this location was to my house. Office is located in the back of professional park. There is plenty of parking. VIP is located on second floor but they have an elevator for those that need it. Front office staff are friendly and help. VIP has very modern technology to remind you of your appointments. From consulation to ultrasound the timing has been pretty quick. Dr. Favata took a lot time to meet with me for consultation and explain on the things that I would need if I decided to move forward with Evlt. Dr. Favata even recommened alternative medical compression stockings to suit my budget that I could access off Amazon (Absolute). I had an Ultrasound a few days later. Sam was great. He was very thorough and professional. Sam not only has been doing this for several years he is a joy to talk too. Sam was great about sharing his knowledge of what he was doing and making me feel very comfortable. So Ultrasound would have been quick but I almost fainted. That was my bad but Sam came to the resuce and got me seated and water. Also a nice ice pack helped me be able to power through the last 5 mintues of the test. Within thirty minutes of the Ultrasound, I had results and a treatment plan. Amy went through all the tough stuff with me but it was pretty inline with the doctors initial visual inspection. However we discovered that my veins were much larger than they thought which made them pretty surprise that I wasn't in more pain. Honestly my legs just get very tired and itchy...but lately they feel heavy. I am hoping when we get done with the last procedure I can get back to Jabz Kickboxing quickly. So I am set to do three different types of procedures. 1st EVLT 2nd Sclerotherapy (foam) and 3rd Phlebotomy one vein has to be killed (let it get to big). I am half way through and cant wait to ditch the compression stocking 24/7. As to procedure EVLT, not horrible but it is an outpatient surgery. Doesn't hurt, alittle uncomfortable 24 hour later but no crazy pain. Worst part is the showers, or as I like to call them "whore baths" becuse trying to keep your bandage dry is a whole different discussion. Also big shout out to Billing Manager for getting my insurance to review my file sooner than later. I must of called her no less than 10x over the holiday three day weekend. Also shout out to Abby for being so nice. I am sure by the time I update this I will have lots of shout out to all of Dr. Favata's staff. Dr. Favata runs a tight ship. She is very particular about her staff, instructions and treatment. She is not here for the malpractice games. Therefore don't expect a rush treatmant plan. While the treatments don't take long she doesnt want to cause to much trauma to your body and I can appreciate that. So far. No brusing and no major scarring. If you need some help in this area, definitely come see her. I like that fact that she is younger but so professional/consistent. Dr. Favata is dedicated to her craft and so far really offers VIP service. Update to come when I am fully healed. Maybe a while because my insurance may change before I can get everything done. We will see. I do plan on finishing the whole treatment plan though because these veins were killing my vibe.

My vein's were healthy before I came to see dr. favata, but unfortunately I only realized it about…read more2 1/2 years later, when the swelling and pain started and I visited a different doctor and I was told that he was surprised that I still had some veins left. Dr. Favata's excessive and unnecessary 10 sessions of EVLT killed the most important veins in my leg and now I suffer from venous insufficiency. I heard by one of her technicians that the bigger the veins more foam is needed. I realized by treating large veins and charging the Insurance companies more money they make. It is a scam. Lack of Knowledge, incompetent technicians for Cat scan, prescribed unnecessary 10 sessions of EVLT that killed innumerous veins of my upper and lower legs including saphena and other lower and upper leg veins causing irreversible circulatory insufficiency. One of my greatest regrets in life is ever meting dr kelly favata.

They obviously have more patients than they know what to do with. and they dont need my business. My insurance is contracted with this provider and it was found that I needed to have several varicose vein treatments, however I could never get anyone to call me back with my financial obligation. With my insurance it depends on if it is listed as an "in office procedure" or a "surgical procedure". I spoke with several staff members that always sounded concerned and that someone would call me back, it just never happened. The office scheduler, Antonette, was so quick to call and schedule my procedures, but wasn't able to provide financials to me. I shared that "wouldn't it make more sense to quote cost before scheduling so that you aren't wasting your time, if the patient is unable to afford". She agreed and stated the office is going thru some management changes. This is a poor business practice and I can see why they have poor reviews. I work in Healthcare and this is absolutely unacceptable and I will find a second opinion. What a waste of time, energy and my initial copay. I should have known from the time I arrived the 1st time and they didn't verify my correct benefits, that this was going to be a problem. Steer clear and find another provider.

The reviews are misleading... Before my son was born, I went through and read a lot of reviews from…read moredifferent hospitals and was nervous about going to Banner Desert - where my OB delivered. I could not have had a more dramatically different experience than what I saw in the reviews - it's safe to say that the management has heard your concerns! We came in at 9:30pm to a very full labor and delivery floor - cancelled the inductions for the day & a woman had been waiting for a delivery room for 7 hours longer than me... Things were not looking too promising. The nurse in triage, Kristy (I hope I'm spelling that right) moved MOUNTAINS for us. She continuously let us know what was going on on the floor and how my labor was progressing. When there was no delivery room available and the nurses were literally spread to their max, she found a way for us to get to a room to help alleviate my pain and welcome my son into the world. I have never felt more looked after than I did with her. Following that, the postpartum ward was delightful! The team that works in there is extremely respectful and caring. Food wise, pretty good! Not the typical icky hospital food that you hear about! If you get the chocolate chip cookie, put it next to a piece of bread for a little bit and it isn't as dry & oh so much more yummy! I hope & pray that everyone gets to have my experience! Even the OB who was on call... I don't know if I would have remotely the same delivery experience if it wasn't for him & his gentle encouragement throughout - you are the best Dr. Canestraro!

Banner Desert Hospital in Mesa Arizona failed my father in every possible way during what would be…read morethe last weeks of his life. My father was admitted on April 16th 2026 with a confirmed cancer diagnosis that had already been documented in his medical records. He sat in that hospital for five days before a single oncologist walked through his door. Five days. When the oncologist finally came on April 21st it was the first time my father had ever seen an oncologist in his entire life. And it happened on the day they were trying to discharge him. The discharge paperwork they tried to send him home with was factually inaccurate. His CT scan performed right there in that building showed possible pancreatitis, bowel wall thickening, gallstones, aggressive malignant ascites, severely elevated bilirubin of 12.80, and compromised kidney function. None of it was on his discharge papers. They listed cirrhosis and noted he should get a blood test to check for liver cancer. He already had confirmed liver cancer. That is not a clerical error. That is negligence. They tried to discharge my father for three to four days before we even had a chance to arrange proper care elsewhere. When we finally had an appointment at City of Hope they discharged him to a hotel because they refused to transfer him directly to the cancer center the way it should have been done for a critically ill cancer patient. When I advocated for my father and asked questions about his care and his inaccurate discharge paperwork they called security on me. Twice. I was not threatening anyone. I was a daughter fighting for her dying father. That is what they called security for. Nurses Kelsey and Ashley were dismissive, cold, and treated my father without dignity or compassion. They did not do their jobs and their lack of care was witnessed by our entire family. The one exception was nurse Merisol who treated my father with the kindness, warmth, and professionalism that every patient deserves. She was the only bright light in an otherwise disgraceful experience. My father came home after leaving this facility and passed away shortly after. He deserved so much better. Every patient who walks through those doors deserves so much better. If the people running this hospital ever have to admit their own parents here I hope they receive the exact same level of care that my father received. Maybe then they will understand what they put our family through. Do not come here unless you have no other choice. And if you do end up here ask for Merisol and pray she is your nurse. This hospital is under investigation and I am pursuing every legal avenue available to me.
