(This review reflects my personal opinions and experiences as a former employee. It is written…read moresolely from my perspective and should be interpreted as such.) I would not recommend working at Central Florida Vein and Vascular (CFVV) under any circumstances. In my personal experience, this company demonstrates a lack of respect for its employees, poor leadership, and an overall toxic culture that leaves staff feeling overworked, underappreciated, and unsupported. Turnover is extremely high -- new hires come and go constantly, forcing existing staff to cover multiple roles without additional pay or recognition. Employees are expected to juggle front desk duties, scheduling, insurance, and assisting -- often with little to no proper training. Communication is poor, processes change frequently, and management expects staff to "figure things out" on their own. Leadership is largely absent. The main physician who owns the company is rarely present at any of the offices and seems disconnected from the daily operations. Patients have complained about rude or dismissive providers, yet these concerns are brushed aside. The office manager, who oversees multiple locations, contributes heavily to the toxic culture. In my opinion, they do very little actual managing. Instead, they gossips about employees to others, spreading rumors instead of addressing issues directly. They refuse to put anything in writing, insisting on phone calls so there's no record of what they say. I personally requested a raise over text -- the only way they communicate -- and during a phone call they verbally agreed. Months later, the raise never came. The assistant office manager is known for favoritism and drama. They clearly favor certain Spanish-speaking employees and often speaks in Spanish about others right in front of them, creating division among the staff. At the Villages location, I personally witnessed behavior that raised serious concerns. The doctor frequently failed to properly explain procedures to patients, often repeated the same plan of care for everyone, and displayed poor bedside manner. Several employees, including myself, brought up potential HIPAA and safety concerns to HR, but they were ignored. The nurse practitioner was equally unprofessional in my experience -- impatient, dismissive, and more interested in personal phone calls than patient care. Numerous patients complained about their rough manner and lack of compassion, but again, no changes were made. I was ultimately fired for "seeming unhappy" -- not for performance, attendance, or misconduct. I later found out that other employees were told I was being fired before it happened, and that management had already started interviewing people to replace me while I was still working there. That level of unprofessionalism and lack of respect speaks volumes about the culture. From a patient's perspective, the environment doesn't feel much better. The office atmosphere is cold and impersonal. Procedures are not clearly explained, and patients often discover they need multiple additional treatments even after being told their care was complete. On-time patients frequently have to wait because late arrivals are still seen. The office is often empty, which can make the place feel uncomfortable and unsettling. Overall, in my experience, Central Florida Vein and Vascular suffers from poor management, lack of accountability, and a toxic culture that affects both staff and patients. Leadership avoids responsibility, HR ignores complaints, and turnover remains constant. If you value professionalism, honesty, and respect -- I'd personally suggest looking elsewhere, whether you're seeking a job or considering them for your care. (Every detail in this review is my personal opinion/experience and is alleged.)

As a healthcare professional, I understand the challenges involved in finding quality care. Based…read moreon the experiences of my patients, excellent primary care may be the most challenging to find. Here, I've found an excellent physician in Dr. Velez. I came in as a healthy, young male for a pre-employment physical. Working in healthcare, I get physicals at least annually, among other tests and screens. She could have easily performed a cursory physical exam, asked me whether I could physically work, and signed my form. Instead, Dr. Velez provided a complete physical exam, obtained a full medical and surgical history, and screened me for a few health conditions based on my intake forms and family history. Needless to say, I was impressed with her approach this visit. Not only does she provide comprehensive care, she also knows how to build rapport. She entered the room with a friendly smile, used little medical jargon, which improves communication for many, and was very approachable. If I were to stay in Orlando, she would be my primary care physician! Velez Family Health is located in Dr. Phillips in an office building. It's not visible from the parking lot, but if you walk down the hall of the north building, you'll find this clinic on the first floor past the restrooms. The place is clean, and the front desk staff is affable. Want a doc who truly cares about your health? Come here!

What an incredible experience! Dr. Velez is extremely knowledgeable in not only modern medicine,…read morebut nutrition-based medicine as well. She gave excellent recommendations that some would regard as a "holistic approach" to go along with my medication and I'm very confident I will see greater results now than I ever have before because of this additional guidance. In addition, her office staff is also amazing. When they found out that I self-pay for my medication, the office manager took the time to find discount coupons for me online, saving me over $60 at the pharmacy today. I couldn't be more thankful and grateful to have found such a knowledgeable and caring staff that truly goes above and beyond for their patients in both treatment and customer service. My family and I are looking forward to many years with Dr. Velez.
