We stayed at this RV park for two nights as we were on our way back to Arizona and we thought Gallup would be a great place to explore. The staff at the front desk were super friendly. There is a bit of a grocery and gift store here as well. My understanding is they have barbecue available some evenings, but it was not during the time we were there. We had a 30 amp pull through site and what was really odd about how this is laid out is the person next to you shares the space for the picnic table so your pleasure side of the RV is actually facing someone else if they put someone near you. I found this a little awkward and uncomfortable. The park was not full, so why everyone had to be so close together was a little odd. If I could make any suggestion here, it would be to space people out if they are not camping with each other and only Phil in the middle sites if you're full. All the utilities were fine and pricing was reasonable at $47 a night. The pool is a nice touch although it does definitely need some updated paint and the pool furniture is splintering and terribly uncomfortable. You are about 10 to 15 minutes away, a straight up shot down historic Highway 66 Into the historic town of Gallup. Take the time to explore here. There's a great coffee shop there as well as find all of the murals as they all have quite the story! We happened to visit the downtown area on Sunday, which is OK if you want quiet, but many things were closed so maybe try to go on a different day Plenty of gas stations nearby if you need to refuel as well There are some larger 50 amp sites that had a bit more privacy in the very back row, but they seem to reserve those just for the huge rigs. There's also a tent camping available along the side with power as well as some individual cabins. read more

Ok so I'm getting use to this place every time we stay here which is twice a year. I still have a hard time with the train rolling through but what can you do! The staff tends to be helpful and the restrooms are clean. Maybe at some point we'll be here when the weather is a little more dryer lol. read more

June 12, 2023 - USA RV Park (Gallop, NM) We pulled into this RV park around three in the afternoon. The lady working the checkin counter was friendly and got us checked in effortlessly. They have a nice gift shop at the checkin area. It's a good sized RV park and has a propane refill station and a nice swimming pool area. It wasn't very full. Maybe just 1/4 capacity. They have full hook up and partial hook ups. Since we're only staying one night, we got the partial hook up with just water and electricity. The town of Gallup is not the most remarkable, so we didn't unhook our car or venture out. read more

I never stayed at an RV park before, so I may not be qualified to review the USA RV park. We were too broke for a hotel room, but still had to be on the road. I think the host knew what we were up against, but welcomed us all the same. They were hosting a BBQ dinner--the brisket was good enough to sell out. All the guests were quiet and well behaved. Someone at the festival we attended recognized us from the park, and felt bad that we slept in the car. It was a kind gesture. Nobody treated us as less-than for sleeping rough. I would stay again for sure, but next year I hope we have motel money! If I ever get a truck and trailer, this is where I'll park it. read more

Bathrooms/showers close from 10-12 meaning you can't use the bathroom or shower in the morning because people with aton of kids let there children shower in each one taking up all the stalls oh and I had to knock because they had locked the outter door... everyone's trying to shower before 10 and it's ridiculous. How about clean later on in the day so people can actually use it to start there day. I won't be back and I deff do not recommend to any of my friends traveling the same path as me! Also toilets rock like there not bolted to the ground. read more

Great pass through spot..the RV spots are face to face..terrible design. I saw 2 RVs who's slides were dang near touching. Very close together..bit of a muddy swamp on the road driving in. Lots of long term Karen's living there constantly peaking out their windows. Even after all that I would recommend this place but only for pass through. It's New Mexico..don't expect much. read more

Worst park I ever stayed in and I move around for a living. Been In a hundred parks. Sleep in your truck and pass this one on by. Owners are crazy and senile. I got kicked out for smoking a vape in the pool when it was only me and my family in the pool and no rules were posted about not smoking a thing in the pool. read more

I rate this high based on the customer service. We had a breakdown and called late and John gave us a Walts welcome on the phone and gracious hospitality. Good mid-point or 2 day rest stop. Safe and clean. Wash rooms, showers , pool, music on busy weeks. Amazing store that has everything you need for your RV, Collectables , food, and nick backs. Good people with a good heart. Grounds were very clean. The Wi-Fi is useless. The strength of the Wi-Fi is very weak. I asked about the quality of the Wi-Fi before I made my reservation, and they said that the Wi-Fi is the best it could be. They blamed the poor quality of the Wi-Fi on the customers streaming TV and videos. I tried to use it to get my email at 10:30 pm and 8:30 pm but couldn't connect. What do they expect? Blaming the customer isn't a good marketing plan. If the troops in Ukraine can get Starlink then so could UAS RV Park. Also, they didn't say that the RV park was on the airports glide path. I am now in the KOA and the Wi-Fi is strong and fast. About to same price as USA RV Park. No Joy! read more

Everything. Sites are close as are most. No trees, but that's the southwest for you. Staff were delightful and helpful. Store is amazing. Playground for the kids. I understand that this was at one time a KOA. FHU with utilities all within easy reach. We'll lit at night. Far enough off Route 66 that noise not a problem. Gallup has Super Walmart and most everything you want need. Lots are level (we didn't need to put our jacks down) and firm with pea gravel. Roadways are paved and site is easy to find. Price very reasonable, especially if you're former/retired military. Active duty military stay FREE. Bath houses (2) clean and water very warm, not hot. Easy access to the, and laundry. If in the area, this will be a most definite choice for the stay. read more

Don't stay at this location because the people who run this park are dictators. Kicked my buddy and his family out because some Karen didn't like the fact that he was vaping while at the pool with his family. They were the only ones at the pool all day, but management said someone called and said they wouldn't swim because he's was vaping. There is no rule saying it's prohibited or anything signage, just some random Karen complaint. While they were talking, they literally wrote it on a piece of paper saying that vaping was prohibited...what kind of bullshit is that. Whoever complained should have been told that there is no rule stating someone couldn't vape and left it at that. You don't kick out a family because of someone that doesn't like you vaping, while outside, in an area big enough that you dont have to be right next to them...but no instead you act like a sheep and comply to the Karen's every wish. Great job, I hope this place goes out of business!! read more

I must say this is one of the most beautifully laid out RV parks we have stayed at. Very clean, organized and professional. They have a lot of amenities including a pool, playground, cable and more along with a Good Sams or Military Discount of 5%. The pull through sites are generous. They also offer a cowboy BBQ in the summer months that is very reasonable. *My only complaint is the dog area has no grass at all.*. I highly recommend any overnight adventurist to spend a day or two here and experience the charm of old Highway 66. I want to add to this review. My husband left his good seiko watch on the picnic table when we left and about an hour later he remembered it. I immediately called and spoke to Mike who told us he would go look for it. He called me right back with watch in hand. I asked him if he could send it to us and he cheerfully said he would. A few days ago the watch arrived. In this day and age with the world in constant flux there are still wonderful people in this world. Your honesty and integrity makes you a valuable asset in the workplace. USA RV Park Gallup,NM is NOT pet freindly! Made a resv a month ago for 5 nights. Checked website for rules and no mention of X pens(portable fence). Thought we would be ok with our havanese. WRONG! Get there and checked in. Handed the park map and told no kennels or pens outside. Guy acted like no big deal. I said can't accept that. We are disabled and walking the dogs is a problem so we use the pens. Much healthier and safer for Dogs anyway. I told him very angrily it would have been nice to have this on your website! I look for things like this when planning a month out and making plans. He informed me that it's on the back of the park map and it was but, again I didn't have the park map A MONTH AGO! I have never had an issue with using my pens! We never leave the dogs outside alone! Now I have to find accommodations for 5 nights and cancel all my plans, ie tourist dollars. NOT HAPPY AND WILL NOT RECOMMEND USA RV PARK EVER! read more

We recently traveled for a week. We needed an overnight stay in our 5th wheel. I found USA RV Park in Gallup, NM. It had great reviews, so I called and got in same day. Owner/staff was super nice and helpful. We arrived late, (no problem, stop at office and get info. And pay in the A.M.) We had no problem finding the spot. It was an easy pull through. We didn't disconnect, as we were leaving fairly early in the morning. We went in office next morning, paid and off we went. If traveling I-40 ( were heading East), this is a great place to stop. read more

This little off-freeway park was convenient and relatively quiet. Off course being near a regional airport, an interstate and a train rail, one should expect a little noise. But it did not ruin our experience at all. The office was easy to get ahold of, and totally accommodating. We arrived late in the evening and had no problems. The bathrooms were clean! September 2022 USA RV PARK Gallup, N.M. Two Days Only SECURITY- No gate, open street access, cameras at the typical places. SPEED LIMITS-12mph, most are reasonable. No dust as roads are old blacktop. PARK WATER-Seems ok SHOWERS-Appear to be a bit old, but they look clean just walking by, never used them. SITE SIZE-Sizes are good, pull thrus all that I observed are very adequate. LAUNDRY-Coin laundry, appeared clean. NOISE-Much quieter than the parks we have been to recently. I could hear a train in the distance last night but not excessively loud and didn't last long. STAFF-brief contact with the staff has been positive.A guy that is here long term says he likes the staff a lot. SOME SERVICES-Pool, playground, had a BBQ one of the nights we were here, Wi-Fi. OVERALL-Seems like a very nice park. Basically gravel sites and pretty much everywhere. Rocks are big enough it does not track in. Park is clean and appears to have an active maintenance plan. Saw lots of dogs but no other animals. I did hear coyotes in the night, someplace. I/we like the park. Going to keep this one when we are going and coming. read more

This park was nicely kept and had great amenities to offer. They have a larger outdoor heated pool that was nice and refreshing. They have a BBQ dinner and ice cream social every night except Sunday with reasonable prices. They also offer a gated dog park area with fun wood carved dogs at the entrance. They also have a beautiful waterfall near the pool area with wood carved bears. The standard amenities also include two laundry facilities as well as bathrooms with showers. In the office they have a gift shop and will take in mail if you need that service. Our site had tree cover so there is some shade within the park. The parking spots are tighter, but not too tight for our Class A motorhome with slides. They have every other vehicle pull in the opposite direction and you share a picnic table area with the neighbor. There are two tables however. The entire park has gravel cover to keep the dust down. This is a very busy park. We stayed a week and had new neighbors nearly every night we were there. They also offer longer monthly camping as well, but no tent camping. We enjoyed our stay with full hookups, cable tv, and free wi-fi. The wi-fi didn't hold a signal very well, so we opted to use our own service instead. read more

Stopped here last night on our way back cross country to st. Louis. Very friendly staff. Clean common areas, and lots of space to pull a rig thru without cramping next to you, which was really nice. We got there around 5pm and started on dinner but otherwise would have loved to use the cute common area up front where there's a covered patio, giant chess and some other activities. The gravel was a surprise as to how clean it actually was, didn't have a lot of dirt come in our rv. Our 120v was not working in our spot, which we discovered after setting up everything and already being too invested in this site to move, unfortunately. I was thinking we'd be pretty happy. Until we tried going to sleep- Turns out this rv park is in the direct flight path for the small airport just down the road. So literally all night, we had small planes and I think a few helicopters, hovering over our rv, and this went through the entire night. I know, because it was so loud (all windows were closed) it kept me up at least till 3am. Adding insult to injury, there's an active railroad with tons of trains passing through, close by. A few were even so kind to honk their horns around midnight and 1am, between airplanes flying over. Ultimately, my entire family woke up very tired, cranky, and regretful this morning, which is a shame because the park and staff were wonderful, you just can't do much about the location unless some noise abatement laws are put in place. read more

This campground is beautiful, and the staff is wonderful! The store is a nice addition and the grounds were clear and lovely. However, I need the internet to work, check emails and keep my self-employed business afloat while traveling! The internet at the camp ground is not acceptable! When I called to the office, I was told if 6 people are using the internet to watch movies as a live stream, then the server cannot handle anyone else to be on even for a mobile device. There are over 130 sites here so that is crazy to even imagine that this type of internet availability would be even assumed to be acceptable! This is very frustrating, and a campground of this caliber should make internet access a priority! I tried many times throughout the evening, it would sometimes allow me to get on but before I could send even one email--it would knock me off again to say "internet not available" again! I highly doubt that anyone in the park could really have had internet long enough to watch a movie--much less answer a few emails! Please consider upgrading the internet and my review would be a 5 rather then the 1 given. read more

We've stayed at this RV park 3 times and we will stay here again. The campground is clean, spots are large. The campground itself is flat. There are 2 dog parks. Bathrooms and showers are exceptionally clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Definitely would recommend. read more

Just here for a pit spot staying 5 days . We have a pull through site in the back plenty of room for coach and vehicle. Grounds are crushed rock, pavers for chairs and a picnic table . Level spots . Store is quaint. Pool is ok wood chairs to sit on. Tried the BBQ on site give it about a six for flavor but for 12$-15$ a meal the sides are VERY small maybe a quarter cup of beans or slaw or Potato salad minimal Flavor . Staff is direct not much enthusiasm when conversing with. Just a request for staff . With all the open areas at park maybe you can assign the one night persons (short stay) NOT right next door to people who are having longer stays trying to enjoy themselves. Blows my mind the logic behind the assignments. read more

This was our second stay at this location. A great stop over on our long journey. Fill hook up for both 30/50 amp. Level lots. Clean facilities. Laundry. Lovely town. Propane onsite if needed. We arrived late on Sunday and the owner greeted us and made sure we had everything we needed to stay for the night. There were scheduled activities like BBQ lunches, outdoor pool, kid, pet friendly, etc. Downtown was charming. Not far from other historical sites. This park was a convenient stop in Gallup that was located on the main drag. Check-in was very easy, and there were nice facilities that were partially operational due to COVID. They normally have an outdoor BBQ and it looked like a really nice setup, but it was closed for now. Prices were very reasonable and there was plenty of space even though we didn't have reservations in advance. read more
