This is a very small facility; I've never seen a smaller roller rink. There should have been a cap of how many people allowed in, because it made skating and just moving around inside so difficult. Everything looks at least 30-40 years old here, our booth was wobbly and unstable. The carpet was old and stained. It was very challenging to move around on the carpeted areas, but also the rink, due to the extreme number of people in the building. I felt like I was in a packed bar or club. I can't overstate that there were way too many people and children. The rink itself is painted concrete, which I've never seen before. It is somewhat uneven, you can feel the small rises and falls in the concrete, but it's not too severe. There were A LOT of children with the little PVC skate-aid things, but skating as an adult was made extremely challenging & nearly impossible because of this. The music they played was fun, and there was some interactions from the DJ, like a backwards skate only, and "all girls only skate," and then "all boys only skate," for a song each. I did like that there are ceiling fans over the rink, to cool you down. The ceiling felt really low, which I think made the whole place feel even smaller. The bathrooms were pretty clean and well stocked, but I didn't like that there were no hooks on the bathroom stall doors. They did let me bring my water bottle in, which I appreciated. There were lockers, but we didn't rent one. Overall, this place is probably fine if you're a kid, but terrible if your an adult skater looking to skate. Go to United Skates or America on Refugee instead!!

Then when I said he needed to apologize for kicking him out for being himself. The bigot called the cops. He said I was being threatened and aggressive. At that point my wife started film due to the fact he was lying trying to get me assaulted by the cops. Thankfully another employee was able to discuss it calmly with me. When the cops arrived the unprofessional charles/nick didn't say word expecting the cops to be aggressive. Vandalia cops did an amazing job though. Even apologizing to me outside. Terrible place. Hey nick it's 2021 gay kids aren't targets anymore. The kid isn't my son but these kids need protected from these type of people.

When can I come back??!! Loved it here…read more The prices are great, I just wish they were open more times. We did a summer Wednesday afternoon skate session from 1-3pm. The floor is great, perfectly smooth and level, no ruts or problems. The skate rental works smoothly, though the rental skates themselves are pretty shabby - could use an upgrade on those! But they weren't bad enough to interfere with our skating or ruin turns or anything. We had a great time. Music was good. The two young men DJ-ing and patrolling the floor were friendly and not jerks like at some roller rinks, and they did their job well. About halfway through they led a limbo game that was really fun, and then later did hokey pokey and then speed skate times. I was glad for the games to mix it up and the nostalgia for doing limbo and hokey pokey at the roller rink when I was a kid. The place was clean, and there were tables next to the snack bar where parents or other non-skaters could hang out. The owner seemed very nice and welcoming. Other patrons were friendly and pleasant, no problematic people came. Great experience, looking forward to coming back.
