Location: Chase Bank Inside the Stater Bros Grocery Store on Hwy 395 & Palmdale Blvd. My cousin waited in line with her son, This was an educational moment used to discuss banking and saving money. My cousin's son was extremely excited to open up his 1st (first) banking account. When cousin was called next in line the Hispanic Teller assisted them to the back to complete the transaction. My Cousin explained she wanted to open a New Banking Account for her son and was informed, "I do not have time to open a new account", I can only provide services to current customers." The tone and attitude was very unprofessional. What was supposed to be a Happy Experience and a shared excited moment between a mom and son was quickly turned into a moment of Poor Communication and Poor Customer Service provided by a "Banker Professional." My cousin called me to explain her experience and I informed her to go to another Bank who appreciates their members and provide great Customer Service. Recommendations: A Smile and Customer Service is Required when working in a Service Industry. Do Not tolerate Poor Customer Service and Bad Behavior. February 24, 2025…read more Worst Bank in the history of banking. Flagstar bank are complete CROOKS. If this review prevents just ONE person from opening an account here at Flagstar bank, it was worth it for me to take the time to write this lengthy review. My wife and her father had a joint checking account with both names on it. When her father passed, she was forced to close the account because his name was on it and a deceased person couldn't collect interest. Because of my wife's difficulty with scheduling and her getting off of work, the bank said they would mail the check to her. She never received it. We waited and waited. We never received it. They claimed they mailed it. We are 100% convinced that was a TOTAL lie. We were told, we had to wait 90 days before they would issue a new check, they couldn't do a stop payment on it before then. So 90 days later we would need to physically go into the bank in person to do it (bank is 60 miles away for us). We made an appointment because we had to see a person who is also a notary. We called the week before to CONFIRM our appointment, and was told that the notary wasn't going to be in that day, but that another notary would be so everything was OK, we confirmed the date at the branch and the time. When we went in on that date and time, all the paperwork was supposedly going to be ready because they claimed the appointment was supposed to be for the prior week (WRONG). It just so happened that that banks Internet was down so they couldn't do anything. Although what we had to do had nothing to do with the Internet. We filled out the forms to confirm that we did NOT receive the mailed check and found many discrepancies in the paperwork they prepared. First off, my wife's name was spelled incorrectly, the dates were wrong, and they had to redo the paperwork and re print it THREE Separate times before it was accurate. Complete incompetence. Then they had to send those signed and notarized documents to their main office in New York. And of course, their Internet was apparently down. Of course it was. So we had to sit and wait for hours at the bank before they could get the confirmation from their New York office, so that they could re-issue a new check to my wife. They would not let us have my wife's money in a timely fashion. Flagstar did everything they could possibly do to complicate the process and keep my wife's money as long as possible. This bank is NOT to be trusted in anyway. Avoid avoid avoid. They are total CROOKS at Flagstar bank and they do not know what they are doing. Actually... I take that back. They know EXACTLY what they are doing.... doing everything possible to keep you from getting your money. If you have an account there and if you ever need close that account for whatever reason, you will NOT get your money. They will find any excuse and reason possible to keep you from getting the money that is yours. And by the way, Marilyn is the one that we worked with at the Flagstar branch on La Paz in Victorville, California and she is completely incompetent. Please do not trust FLAGSTAR bank. If you are considering opening an account at Flagstar, please do not. Please find another bank!
