And after my devastating losses, including my health due to The Paradise CA Fire, of Nov 8, 2018, Dollar Loan has always been there to help me through these years of coming up short financially. Now hear this truth, some persons are irresponsible and some are really in need. In this case I went back to Dollar Loan, not because I really needed it, but it's the holiday season and I'm splurging because I'm getting a pay raise next month that will cover at least 1/2 of the payment. I figured it out for my budget first. So I can now justify using Dollar Loan for a Christmas loan. They deserve my business because they were so good to me in the past. Now, I would not recommend that anyone should carry out the full one year contract. Know your daily interest and try to stay ahead by making extra payments when you can. I learned this from past, and it gives you additional freed up credit that you can draw from if needed in future. Keep in mind that you can not be charged interest before it is due which is daily in this case. Don't look at all the interest charged on the contract. That's only if you carry it out all the way. When you pay it down more as you can, then you'll owe less. Most other Loan Companies in this area will not give you a long time to pay. Usually only three months. In this case, Dollar loan wins the day by allowing a longer time to pay, therefore the monthly payment is lower. This gives time. Time is everything when paying back. Now you have the opportunity to play catch-up, since you have smaller payments that fit your budget. You get it? Now you have the scoop. The loan process is nearly effortless. Have your income letters or proof available to upload or show them in person and a picture ID. The other info is very little. This store has especially professional and kind persons working at it. They will push to get what you need. Kristina was my loan assistant. So kind and easy to communicate with. Of course we give management credit as well. They are the ones who will ultimately approve or disapprove, the transaction. So dare not hide anything about your credit rating or other possible loans. My wife and I were still clients and our tax preparer moved. No notice from him or from the company here in Carson. I called the office no less than 5 times this past 2 weeks and got one return phone call with no information. The message left on my phone was curt and short with a slammed receiver at the end. Very unprofessional and angry. Not happy at all. Big change from the personal service we were used to getting. Not happy at all. Without a call back getting us an appointment with either Luanne or anyone else working for Sierra Financial we will seek other options. From the beginning, she was responsive, professional and genuinely interested in helping us. She never made me feel like I was dealing with a faceless financial institution--she became my person at UFCU. The real test came when our car delivery was delayed and, at the last minute, our dealership located another vehicle for us. We needed the loan check overnighted to the dealership before we left on a long-planned trip. Unfortunately, the UFCU branch handling the shipment failed to get the check to UPS on time, and the delivery date suddenly became the day after we were scheduled to leave. Amy was in Nevada. The problem occurred at an Arkansas branch. None of it was her fault. She could have simply told me the check was on its way and there was nothing she could do. Instead, she jumped into action, explored every option, personally contacted our Toyota salesman, provided documentation that the loan was approved and the funds were coming, and helped coordinate a solution that allowed the dealership to release our car before receiving the physical check. That made the difference between making our trip in our new vehicle and leaving without it. I've spent much of my career working with organizations and evaluating people and performance, and I know the difference between someone who is simply competent and someone who takes genuine ownership of a customer's outcome. Amy is the latter. She didn't create the problem. She simply refused to let someone else's problem become my problem. Adversity doesn't build character; it reveals it. Amy's character is top notch.
