    would like to complain about the treatment my family received from your branch. My father is…read moreelderly and barely mobile from serious medical conditions. My mother needed to be added as a joint account holder to my father's high yield checking account. I tried to do this online a few weeks ago only to find that the type of checking account is not eligible for this type of change. My mother and I both called Capital One customer service who explained that my parents would have to go to the branch in person or present a power of attorney from my father in person. My parents mustered the energy at great effort to drive out to your branch only to be told by a teller on late Wednesday that they could not help them at the branch and they need to contact customer service. As if this was not outrageous enough treatment to and elderly couple facing serious medical issues, when my mother called the branch the next day she was told the same thing by a male representative and told she can take her business eke here if she was not satisfied. I called around 11 that morning and encountered the same unprofessional and heartless employee who talked over me when I tried to explain what my parents wanted and he hung up on me. He then proceeded to ignore my call backs. He did not give me his name but he was working there on Thursday August 27. This person has no business in a position of responsibility in customer service. Fortunately another woman stepped in. I had the pleasure of talking to her earlier Thursday morning to explain what my parents needed. She said there was a misunderstanding and would call me back. She called me back after noon and we were able to have a three way call with my mother. It was clear that the representatives who refused to assist her did not listen to her and they thought she wanted to open an account when my mother clearly asked to be added to an existing account. She apologized for her colleagues cruel behavior to my parents and offered an appointment Friday for my parents to compete the transaction. It went seamlessly. Had not been for this decent professional my parents would have been stuck without a way to pay their bills.

    Last week, I was depositing my check in the ATM outside, and suddenly an 'out of order' sign…read moreappears on the screen, and it wouldn't return my card. I went inside and told them what happened. All I wanted was my card back and I'd come another time. (The line was about 10 people deep and wasn't moving at all). They confiscated my card and refused to give it to me because it was my wife's name on the card (I don't have a card because it's mainly her account). They said 'federal regulations' even though it is legally my account. My wife had to return the next day. Today I tried to make another deposit in the ATM. The machine this time ate my check. I just wanted them to retrieve it for me so I could have another go at it. She said I'd have to wait in the (as usual) very long line. I waited there 20 minutes because they had only one teller behind the counter, and she was also assisting the drive through customers. The manager came back to help on some of them, but as it was closing time, she had to excuse herself with each customer so that she could unlock the doors for them! There is really no excuse to have such long lines all the time. If more than 1 or 2 people are waiting, someone needs to help them out, and certainly not have someone running back and forth from the drive through to the counter. It's ridiculous. I don't want to use this bank again and go through all that. What a waste of two Saturday mornings.
