The Hours are wrong. They have some real bankers hours. Closes at 2, NOT five. Fix it on the website.

I had certified mail regularly getting lost at this post office; when I show up, of course it's not their fault... yet even tracking says the mail is there. I ran into this issue, always ending up finding the mail at the office despite the postman's denial, finally it happened again and I do give up, I'm tired of their denial and treatment of certified mail like it's nothing. Wood Ridge Post Office is horrendous. I have lived in this town my whole life and the woman with black hair behind the counter is USELESS. I went inside the PO to get priority mail labels (usually they are out on the counter to take what you need) I asked her for a dozen of them so I don't have to keep coming back and forth every 3 months and she handed me ONE. ONE label. I asked her for a dozen and then she questioned if I was sending the package from the PO and I told her no...I send them from home and I will need about a dozen. She proceeded to hand me ONE MORE....seriously?? 2 labels? Are they made of gold. I don't have the patience for this post office anymore - just easier to go to Lodi or East Rutherford. She is slow and not very nice. This post office front desk is useless. But my postal delivery guy is the BEST!!! I suggest stay far far away from here. The employees need to take classes in communication and personality!!! read more

It says that the window at this Post Office is supposed to open at 8:30am on weekdays. Expect to wait a few minutes more than that. Not one of the better run Post Offices I've been to, and I've been to a lot. While you're waiting for this place to open and the window is still closed at 8:40am, expect to hear all the employees in the back room laughing it up and partying while you're waiting and already late to work. read more

"I moved to Wood Ridge NJ about 7 weeks ago and the USPS has place my packages in the wrong mail box 3 time now. There is no one who can help and no one gives you a name of whom to speak with. Something is going wrong, I don't believe the mailman is reading the whole address. I went to the postoffice waited on line only to heard the clerk say she can't help me. Go on the internet, I told her I did it states the packages is in the mailbox but I was trying to explain to her it wasn't in the mailbox. Also in this town people get packages that don't belong to them and keep them. I came from Hoboken and people always gave you the package if it was delivered to them in error." read more

If I was able to give ZERO stars that would still be too many. This office has the WORST OF THE WORST in it. They openly complain about having to do their jobs, they blame the computers for everything, I've been in there multiple times when customers have had to come back because they shipped something or were charged for something improperly. They're severely short-staffed, and their is never a manager/postmaster on-site EVER. My mail carrier is great, but whenever he's out I don't get any mail (or I get all of my surrounding neighbor's mail) for any time he's away. Absolutely terrible, but it's not worth complaining at all in-person or over the phone (to the branch directly or on the phone to the corporate office) since they don't do anything about it anyway. The women who work their are the most bitter people I have ever encountered. They are so unprofessional: yelling at people, taking personal calls while the line is out the door, and being straight up nasty! Having to deal with this post office gives me anxiety because they are harsh, and unhelpful. Everyone I've talked to have had terrible experiences here. Wish I could give them 0 stars. read more

Absolutely terrible. The manager Rick is an absolute JERK! I moved out of state and there were inconsistencies in my forwarded email. I called regarding a package that had been missing and he immediately said, "Landlord must have stolen it." Umm, how do you assume someone (so specifically) stole a package when all you can verify is the accuracy of delivery? Believe me, I am not a fan of my landord, but to automatically blame him as to avoid any responsibility is so wrong. Rick, the manager is so condescending and extremely rude..this is a perfect example of why people do not want to deal with the USPS and rather pay more at UPS, Fed Ex or DHL to ensure proper delivery and why they are in crisis, they are completely incompetent. read more

If I could, I'd give this 0 stars. Seriously, the bad customer service is one thing, but even the mail carriers are rude and torment dogs. I work from home, have a mail slot that I put a note on not to use and put a mailbox directly in from of the door. For years one carrier loves how my dog would aggressively pull the mail through the slot so he'd put the mail through the a lot one piece at a time. When I asked him to stop he gave me an attitude and continued it. I complained to this office and they shrugged me off. Then eventually we got a new mail carrier and he also ignored the sign but at least put it all through at once. Finally, someone was using our box took vacation and the sub carrier put the mail through the slot, I politely asked him to use the mailbox and he said "this isn't my route, so whatever" my dog has clinically treated anxiety and the mail carrier shouldn't be a trigger if we have purposely put a mailbox out to avoid the trauma. read more

This is the first time I have ever left a negative review anywhere but my experience at the Wood Ridge post office was absolutely appalling. I was shipping a package for $8.00 and was paying cash (I had a $20.00 bill). I was told by the clerk that they did not have change and I had to pay with credit card. They acted like I was paying with a $50.00 bill, but I only brought the $20 since I new it would be around $10 to ship my item. Thats when the other clerk with red short curly hair and glasses (I did ask for her name but will not post it ) jumped into the conversation and rudely told me that most people pay with credit cards and that I had to pay with a credit card as well. Unfortunately I did not bring my credit cards with me. The first clerk then went into the back and managed to find change. Thats when the second clerk told her not to take all her singles because she did not have time to go to the bank. I think the second clerk was the Manager (I use that word loosely) but clearly they had change. The second clerk (Manager) was also extremely rude to the prior customer about putting her mail on hold for a month because she had a summer home out of State (isn't that their job after all???) I went into the post office around noon so why a business tells their customers they don't take cash or have enough change is quit puzzling. The Manager (second clerk) was unfriendly ,antagonistic, extremely rude and clearly lacks the skills to do her job proficiently and professionally. I would not go back to this post office again. I have never had a problem before at this location (besides the normal being under staffed and slow service which seems to be the new normal for most Post Offices now). If you want good service, short lines and efficient service, I recommend Hasbrouck Heights Post office. I usually go there and never had a problem paying with cash or customer service. read more
