This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a post office. I came in to return some…read moreclothing and already had everything packed in a cardboard box. I waited in line for about 35 minutes, and when I finally got to the counter the worker immediately had an annoyed and irritated attitude. I understand it can be a busy day, but I had also just stood in line for a long time. She looked at my package and asked what I was doing with it, and I politely explained that I was returning it and showed her the packing slip. She then told me she could not tape the package for me, which was fine, but said I would have to go back in line, buy tape, tape it up myself, and then wait in line again for another 35 minutes. The way she said it felt dismissive and almost like she was enjoying how frustrated I was getting. I asked if I could just buy the tape right there and tape it up, and she said that was not an option. The whole interaction felt unnecessarily rude. I ended up doing exactly what she said, waiting in line again, and this time I was helped by a different clerk who told me I could have bought the tape and taped the package when I was first at the counter. That was extremely frustrating and confirmed for me that the first worker was being difficult for no real reason. I would not recommend this post office based on this experience. It also seemed like other people were getting similar treatment from her. The rest of the staff did seem nicer, but even one experience like this reflects poorly on the location as a whole.

On Saturday they are only open 1 hour, which leaves a very small window to get large packages unable to fit in a post office box, especially if you work during the week. It is located right on Main street across from the Plummer Museum. Parking is never an issue as it is located on the corner and vehicles can park in front or on the side of the building. If a package is small enough to fit in one of their larger unreserved post office boxes, they put a key in your post office box for the other box your package is located. This helps with any packages you may get during the week and are unable to stop in from 8am-noon. I haven't had an issue with this post office but they should be open longer on Saturdays or earlier during the week for people who work standard 8-5 jobs during the week.

This is the benefit of being in a small town post office where people are sweet and there's never much of a line to wait. Passport services here also. Air conditioned in summer and warm in winter (5 long winter months in ND). Easy parking and plenty of it. Safe neighborhood.

He has stopped by twice to try to pick it up and they will not give it to him and continue to say they haven't sorted the packages.... Then she didn't scan my items, which is the reason I go in so that I can see that my returns are accounted for by the shippers and now out of my hands. So I asked for a receipt and her answer was a very snotty "I suppose". Ugh, I said I've just never had to ask for a receipt before so that's why I asked. She said she was trying to save paper, but if I really wanted a receipt then she would give me a receipt. And to top it all off, I got a super sarcastic "you have a nice day". I go to this place because it's the only place in town with regular business hours where you can drop off your shipments. If there was another way, I seriously would never go back.
