I do not recommend this postal location. The customer service is horrible. The way they speak to customers is unacceptable. II went there to purchase a box and mail a package. Every time I asked a question about the box size , the lady behind the counter seemed frustrated and inpatient. This post office need an inspection. They stole all my mail including my bank card and W2. I transferred my mail a 5 weeks ago never received not one mail but my 84 year old mother received all her mail. The heavy lady at the front window is very nasty and need people skills. ​ read more

Horrible. The carrier signed (unauthorized) for my purse and I never recieved it. Now what happened to my purse? The only thing they're willing to give me is 100.00 back cause that is what it was insured for. My bag was worth well over 800 $...... Incompetent, deceptive, and bad attitude. Made passport application online. They had no record of it. Employee started to say I didn't make the appointment until she saw the confirmation. Instead of acknowledging the error, she then tried to say they just don't make appointments after noon (mine was confirmed for 3:15), then as "proof" showed me a sheet with the last appointment at 2:45. I had important mail coming with tracking number and on the day of delivery it showed me deliver. I was so nervous and worry as i was not able to find it. Next morning I went to post office and was told they do that sometimes in order to show shipper that they deliver on tine . They handed me my package and did apologies but this very bad experience I had. read more

They delivered my $340 package to the wrong place & I'm still waiting for my package to be found. I still haven't received my package !!!! 15 days later. Ordered a Christmas present for my son from Walmart waiting to get my order finally call up Walmart they said package been waiting since the 1/9/2020 got to the post office the women at the window ask why did I come there because the package was delivered to my house. When I showed her the tracking number saying it is at this location she was not sure where that information came from and that the item was not there. I'm now waiting 2 weeks no answer from the post office called, Walmart back they said is at the post office the workers at the post office can not find my package. Very disappointed. read more

THIS POST OFFICE HAS CARRIERS THAT STEAL AND DELAY MAIL. They have been delivering out packages to "another address" for the past 3 years. We only have one address. Why are you delivering it to "another address"? Who's address is it?! They seem to have no problem delivering our bills, letters, and catalogs, but when we get parcels or packages they magically forget where our address is. Then they have the nerve to mark the packages as delivered! Unbelievable. When you call, they put you on hold. "Hold" means that they just leave the phone off the hook while they go an do something else. They put my mother on hold for nearly 2 hours and no one came back to the phone. She finally just hung up. They love stealing our Amazon packages. It has gotten so bad in our neighborhood that everyone is sending their Amazon packages to the nearby Amazon locker. Unfortunately, now the Amazon locker gets full and we can't even send packages there anymore! It's Bullshit. Stealing, Delaying, and Tampering with mail is a FEDERAL CRIME. If you are having problems with this post office REPORT THEM to the Office of Inspector General for the United States Post Office. It seems like some of the older workers that were there for a long time are no longer there, i am so glad as it seems like they were way too comfortable and really really rude, the newer younger people seem better, and since i visit here almost daily I would like to be treated respectfully, The lines are sometimes very long during peak times, which vary, but other then the long lines it is getting better, 5/2/15 read more

I rarely write one star reviews and haven't written a review in a long time to begin with, but I'm so fed up with this post office. This is the second time that I had a package claimed by their mail carrier as delivered and it wasn't. The first time was my ULTA package that was several days after the so called "delivered" date, miraculously in the evening brought to my door by a young female postal worker. Now the second time my Macys package that's over a week past the alleged delivered date. I've had to call the postal customer service and file a complaint. Now let me say this, I never had a problem before when I had this older gentleman that delivered the mail in my neighborhood, but this new carrier is the worst. I work hard for my money and deserve to receive my items when the company states it will be sent. I hope I will be refunded fully for my lost, stolen or misplaced item. read more

Here we go again. Another terrible experience at this post office. This place is the worst. If I could rate this Post Office zero stars I would. Yes, they are that bad. Long wait time. No professionalism. Lack of knowledge. Constantly losing packages. Never answering the phones. Not willing to oblige or go above and beyond to help the paying customer. This has to be the worst Post Office in NYC. I would bet my house on it. They need a completely new staff. Service is unacceptable at this point. I will not stand by and allow this to happen. When I go to the Post Office in Garden City Long Island or Manhattan the service is considerably better. Why is that? Is it because Springfield Gardens is a predominantly black neighborhood they don't care whether or not the service is good or bad? If this is not the reason, then what is it? I have received nothing but horrible service from this location. It's so bad the I'm willing to drive several miles out of my neighborhood to go to another location.
