She said this building was considered a historic landmark and I love finding antique post offices! She showed me some postcards that were dated from 1903, and said that it was built years before that! It looks like it's been modernized but the brick facade shows it's age. The employee was super informative and helpful, she really went out of her way to chat! Although this building isn't remarkably beautiful or unique, it's background story earns it the 4 stars! It was well stocked and clean, but could've been a tad tidier. They had a good supply of various stamps, and for a small town of about 550 people, it was pretty busy! Clover was incorporated in 1895, but in 1998 it became "unincorporated" due to not being able to pay for the town's services. Businesses dwindled in this sleepy town, but it still remains a spot full of history, farms and plantations dating back to the 1700's! Check out the water tower near the post office! I made an appointment online, filled out the application and printed them. Before my appointment, my husband and I went to Walgreens to get passport photos. That's in another review! Lol What a great experience! The Passport Agent's very nice and friendly! The whole process only took about 15 minutes. Oh, they also have passport photo service available, fyi! I was so happy with the whole experience that I'm telling everyone I speak to about it!! Lol My son and his family are planning to get theirs there. Of course I found the little post office tucked away on a side street that serves this community of about 1,200 people. Named after its founder, Clark Royster, this was a tobacco town in the 1800's and is now a popular tourist spot for water and outdoor enthusiasts. The town hosts a Lakefest festival annually which draws a lot of people to this charming town. The first post office here was established in 1819, but now it's modern counterpart post office isn't much to look at. The post office is a plain brick building and doesn't have nearly as much personality as it's surrounding neighbors. Across the street is a darling Victorian house and the Main Street is dotted with cool architecture. Inside the post office was clean and tidy. A huge plus and surprisingly, they have passport services here! There's a greeting card kiosk and plenty of mailing supplies. Hours M-F 9:00-4:30 Saturday 9:00-12:00

We were told that because we didn't watch the entire packing process and watch them put on the labels, it's not their problem. We watched them make the boxes, put in the computers and throw the correct label into each one. I didn't know we had to micromanage them to protect ourselves. That would have required going into the back of the store anyway, which is not allowed.

I made an appointment online for the passport services here for my boyfriend and I since many (if…read morenot all) of the Post Offices in the Triangle were totally booked for 30 days out. We were already in Greensboro for the weekend so driving to downtown High Point wasn't too far out of the way. We just needed an appointment ASAP for an upcoming trip out of the country! The confirmation email I received after scheduling our appointment online asked for us to arrive 10 minutes early, and I can see why because at 2:30 PM they were really busy! This post office has a sign up on the wall asking for a limit of 4 people to be inside at a time, which people were clearly not following, but there was no one in the separate room for the passports, so it was fine for us... At least everyone was wearing a mask! The woman helping us get our applications in order was very friendly, helpful, and made great small talk while we were there. My appointment for 2 adults was scheduled from 2:30 - 3:00 but we got everything taken care of, including photo (and a retake or two), and were out of there within 15 minutes! I was pretty impressed. On our way out, we did encounter someone asking us for a dollar, which is always a little uncomfortable, but other than that, the passport service here was 5 stars from me.

It's sort of like the opposite of the DMV :-) They have PO boxes and a limited supply of shipping supplies. They do have more things in the back than our out front, but it's not designed for you to just show up and get all you need to send out packages. I'm not going to knock the place for not having a ton of supplies because it is a small location. Overall I'm going to give them five starts. The place is clean, no smells, the people are very friendly, the service is great, and with a smile.
